“Birthday a year ago”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Wonderful place. Go on an open-air safari. Lots of fun. Loved the lions and you can pay a bit extra to see them up close and personal. Great day. Stay over the night at the Mansions nearby and enjoy seeing the gardens before you leave.

“A little slice of Africa in Victoria”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

I'm not usually a fan of zoos but I like this one. Most animals are not caged and are able to roam free. It's a decent replica of an african safari. Worth a visit.

“Good family or tourist day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Lots of open area here with plenty of animals to see. Can bring a picnic if you want to, with lots of places to sit down on the grass. Friendly staff and well looked after animals and grounds. Pick a sunny day!

“One of the bet zoos in Australia!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

Forget cityscapes and marvellous backdrops which other iconic Australian zoos offer, come to Werribee Open Range Zoo where animals are kept out in the endless open space!
The Safari bus ride was awesome and is included in the entry fee. You get to see giraffe, zebras, rhinos, gazelle all living happily together. The best is there are no crowds, which most of the city-based zoos are full of.
