Small security entrance at street level just with reception desk and lifts. Rooms start on level 9 with the floors in between being parking (accessed from next street or level 4). Used to be serviced apartments and Mercure signage still not visible from street. All apartments west facing it seems with opening windows. Found the trams in the next street and the late night revellers a bit noisy. Nice decor and fit out. Across an intersection from Queen Victoria Markets. Stayed on level 12 which was carpeted so don't understand oh her reviewers comments about tiles. Noticed a laundry on our floor but didn't check facilities. Room had kitchenette which was quite handy. Enjoyed stay but would probably see what else is on offer next time I'm in Melbourne. This is no reflection on staff who were very friendly and helpful.
