This is not the most luxurious hotel. We stayed here because of its proximity to Melbourne Fringe events. On the upside, the bed was comfortable and the food in the restaurant excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the downside, no wifi in room, $29 per day for internet, and $12 per night for parking, (not valet).

Thank you for taking the time to provide you valuable feedback. Our staff are our most important asset and I am very proud to note they were able to provide the friendly service our guests have come to expect.

We are currently negotiating pricing with the internet provider and are confident we can provide cost effect quality internt options to our guests in the near future.

We endeavour to maintain a competitve price structure across all facets of the business and I believe that our parking costs are the most inexpensive in comparison to our competitors.

I booked a king room, but when we checked in we were actually placed in a 'superior queen room' (which we didn't notice until measuring the bed). There was a sofa (stained) and a bath (also stained), which apparently made this room an 'upgrade.'

Only upon enquiring with reception as to what we actually booked and paid for, were we transferred to another room, with no apology or explanation as to why we were put here anyway. The noise from Harker street was really loud during day and night, due to no double glazing on windows. Noise from other rooms was also a problem. The bed and TV were the only things in good condition. Carpet stains throughout the hotel, and in the bathroom the tap felt like it would come off everytime you lifted it to run water. The shower was old, and you couldn't even use the soap holder as it was coming off.

Really disappointing overall, as I would have happily spent more at a CBD location had I known our comfort would be compromised due to these features. Staff were friendly, but unfortunately nobody seemed to care whether we enjoyed our stay and we were not given an explanation of our booking error at any stage. Would not recommend.

Clean rooms, nice location close to city and good access to airport, very friendly and helpful staff.
Secure parking is always comforting. Reception staff were exemplary. The room that we had was very large.

Great staff. All that saves this place as they have to work with terrible infrastructure.
Starts at door worn dirty sofas. On sleeping floors ,dirty couches and chairs, frayed carpets everywhere, walls not painted in years. In room so it continues, shower recess scratched, tiles peeling, carpet lifting, staff try their utmost.

Room service 17 dollar plus 3.50 tray charge dried cold toast and Kraft jams .

Badly represented on line, not accurate. 4 star rating and the prices are not reflective of what you get.

Stayed here for a week as it offered the great location for me. The rooms are spacious and I noticed that they are being renovated. Staff were very courteous & friendly and all requests were taken care without any issue during my stay. A good point to do is to prebook your breakfast at desk, and it would be $15 per morning. The only drawback was that the food was great and I guess I put on some weight while staying here...will be back as it was a great value for money.

Room Tip: Pre book your breakfast and parking is cheap too.

The hotel was easily found, good car parking, and had excellent access to public transport. The staff were very freindly and helpful. The room was reasonably well appointed. I would recommend it to friends looking to stay in Melbourne particularly if they were looking for easy access to public transport. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when visiting Melbourne
