“Super Treat on the Street”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

This is an excellent place to stop for a treat while downtown in Melbourne. It's just a stand on the sidewalk but the crepes are awesome. The number of people waiting in line was a good indicator of how good the crepes were.

“Great late night snack”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2012

Went for a short stroll at night around the city and found this stand. Previously recommended by a group of friends who love their dessert and been hopping around many spots. Reasonably priced and tasted great. It was pretty good. Worth trying when you happen to pass by as they are open pretty much all day and almost every day including public holiday. They only close on New Years day and eve. I'd go again and will definitely be bringing some friends along to hear the French accent girls taking my orders and making my crepes.

“Best Crepe I have ever had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

I visited Melbourne the other day to find some good, value for money places to eat, and found this shop, La Petite Creperie, after I saw it on the television show 'Postcards' in which Rebecca Judd visited, so I decided to try it.

La Petite Creperie is located on the corner of little collins and swanston street. It is not a shop or restaurant, it is a little stall like those newspaper and magazine stalls, but even smaller. Like the name, is is petite. 'La Petite Creperie' means The small crepe shop in French.

There is crepe man making the crepe and a woman who is at the register, they both speak a little bit of french and english. The crepe man has all of the ingredients he needs placed on shelves behind him. He has the crepe mixture and he just pours into onto the pan, then adds the filling. When cooked, he cleverly folds the crepe up with two metal cooking untencils and slots it into a cardboard holder. Depending on how many people are waiting your crepe usually takes about 3-5 Minutes, which is pretty quick.

The crepes ae priced $4, $5, $6 or $7, depending on the filling of your crepe. I tried a chocolate crepe, which was priced at $5. The crepe was so fresh and warm. In my opinion I think the crepes should be priced at $3 or $4, with the more exotic flavours $5 or $6. The crepes are worth the money you pay anyway and are definately worth trying. I strongly recommend while in Melbourne.
