I stayed here the weekend of Motogp at Phillip Is. The room was comfy, Paul was a warm & friendly host. Breakfast was enjoyable. The location is convenient and made for an easy trip through the city early in the morning to Phillip Is. I'll definitely stay again.

Very welcoming hosts. I was able to check in early arriving after the read-eye flight, and being able to freshen up and change was very helpful indeed. Breakfast is hearty. Location is within walking distance from the Southern Cross station and airport express bus. Free shuttle is available if needed, provided by the airport express service. Easy walking distance to the business district. The only thing to be aware of is the sound isolation between the rooms.

NY008, Thank you for taking the time to write your TA review of Robinsons. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay and my friendly service. I have noted your mention of sound isolation and I will monitor this in an attempt to minimise in the future. Sometimes it depends on your neighbours! Have a great Christmas and New Year. Cheers, Paul.

Robinsons In The City was a great hotel for us to stay whilst we were in Melbourne. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a smile and great service. Great location, only a short walk into the city and crown casino. The tram line was just down the road. Paul was a great host and made us feel welcome. Thank you

We stayed at Robinsons for two nights. We had two rooms and there were four of us two mums and our daughters. The lounge was a great place to sit and relax in the afternoon with a bottle of wine, while the teenage girls watched TV and chatted in their room. Easy access to trams and the railway. Paul was a great host and cooked a fantastic breakfast. It was a nice change to staying in a hotel and we would happily return. Deserves the reviews it receives.

Jaw01, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay at RITC. It was a pleasure having all four of you stay with us for the girls w'end away. You've hit the nail on the head by saying that we are a great alternative to staying in a hotel. Cheers, Paul.

We spend a great deal of time choosing to stay in B&Bs in other cities but this is the first we have stayed in our own for a long time. We wouldn't have chosen to stay in the area where Robinsons is situated but were pleasantly surprised at its proximity to the city via the circle tram. Judging by the amount of apartment building happening surrounding this oasis, this area will be a hub of activity in the near future. Breakfast in the ambient surrounds of the old bakery was delicious and although not fans of the large community table always are happy to meet new folks. A genial host and a lovely stay.

Room Tip: Some rooms don't have ensuites but they do have private separate bathrooms if that is important...

We stayed at Paul's lovely B&B because of the reviews he has on tripadvisor, and I can tell they are not exaggerated at all! Everything was just perfect, from our checkin to the checkout! Paul has just 6 rooms so make sure you book in advance during high season! The accommodation is in the center of Melbourne and the CBD is a 10 minutes walk away, so you can explore the city easily without a taxi or bus. He's got free wifi access and serves a perfect continental brekkie in the morning, if you like anything warm and salty like poached eggs or bacon, Paul wouldn't hesitate to prepare such a meal for you for a reasonable price of 10$ I guess! It's a perfect location for people who like warm and personal service with a glance of luxury! Thanks a lot Paul
Lars

Lars, it was great to meet you both during your visit to RITC last week. You have summarised us well in the sentence "a perfect location for people who like warm and personal service". I hope you can make it back to Australia soon and will find the time to come back to Melbourne. Cheers, Paul.

We really loved this small, but cozy place in melbourne.
its located in a old bakery, I guess, and there are just 6 rooms. But they got all their own style. As we arrived, paul welcomed us very friendly. Furthermore the breakfast was very delicious and the rooms clean.
We apreciated it a lot. Thanks Paul!

Nina H, thank you for both staying with us earlier this month and submitting your review. Your guess is right the breakfast room is the old original bakery (circa 1850) and there are only 6 rooms. Making it a very cozy accommodation option. Cheers, Paul.
