A popular breakfast place but every restaurant/cafe seems to have the same menu..eggs eggs and more eggs. Nice foreshore and nearby antique shops.
Williamstown was a port town in a past era, and is still the home of one of Australia's major shipbuilding industries. It abounds with history, and has vistas of tall masts, ferries moving about, and in the distance the skyscrapers of the Melbourne CBD. A busy centre with a large range of restaurants to suit any taste or price.
It is wonderful to go over to Williamstown and just see the City from the other side of the water. Also plenty of restaurants.
My girlfriend and I took the train from Flinders street station to Williamstown for a day trip pretty little harbour town with great view across to the city, some good shopping and several options for eating out.
Love Williamstown, live next door in Newport and love going there for breakfast on the weekends, or lunch, or even just to hang out and go for walks.
