“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

This is a real 60's style hotel in Melbourne's CBD. While it's not the best quality hotel around, it has everything you need, and the price of the room includes a continental breakfast, which is an added bonus.

Room Tip: It's a two story motel, so if you don't like steps, ask for a ground floor room.

We stayed for 4 nights and highly recommend this place. It is fairly old but well looked after. The room upstairs was very large, the bed very comfy & the breakfast provided was delicious. We'd definitely stay here again.

This is a good, old fashioned 60s style motel that has the rooms modernized to some degree. Beds are new, baths are original (now funky). It is very clean, inexpensive, very convenient and friendly. We always stay there when visiting family in Melbourne.

Room Tip: spacious rooms on north side good for families

Stayed here last night...Very very old & run down, deceiving pics on the internet. Freezing, noisy room in general from external traffic, noisy fridge & aircon. Bathroom had mould all over ceiling & tiles. Tiled bench tops in kitchen area - chipped & grout coming out, not enough blankets, dirty windows with no coverings so outside light shines all night, For the money have stayed at a LOT better around Melbourne. Would only stay here if all the hotels were booked in Melbourne.

Room Tip: thats easy - choose another hotel plenty of decent places for same sort of money

We've stayed for 3 nights in family room with 2 y/o twins. The room had 1 king size bad and 2 bank beds. Not too small, with big restroom - the washer and dryer located there. Full of basic things - electrical tea pot, forks/spoons/plates etc.
The breakfast (included in the price) is very basic - serials, tea/coffee, bread with jam. The optional hot breakfast - eggs with bacon/sausage - is OK and not too expensive.
The location is great - near tram station and big shopping center is just 5 minutes away by car.

Room Tip: The rooms close to the main road (close to the reception) are noisy. Don't expect much from the...

A good budget motel close to the CBD. Overall it is clean and tidy. An older motel that has been maintained to a good standard over the years, but it is showing it's age now. However it is clean and tidy for sure. Loads of free parking, a tram stop at the door. Friendly and helpful staff. A free breakfast too which is a real bonus. The ice machine is a handy nice touch too. Beds and pillows a little hard though and the units could do with a microwave, but apart from that, you would be hard pressed to find a better budget motel this close to the CBD with everything else the Parade Inn has to offer you, it is very good value. Would happily stay there again. The units are set back from the road but you can still here the traffic and trams sometimes, so be aware.

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room.
