Stayed here three nights recently while my husband was on business in the area.
The room was clean, bright and surprisingly quiet considering the close proximity to the airport.
Good shower, plenty of towels, nice toiletries provided.
Bed was fine, and there was a choice of pillows.
Ate in the restaurant several times and enjoyed each meal. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Pleasant staff. Watch out for the charge for water at your table-$5 per small bottle. Can't think of anywhere else in the world where we've paid for water! Other than that it was a very pleasant stay and there's no reason why we wouldn't stay again.

We stayed here for a one night stay following a late arrival on an international flight from Dubai. The hotel was located across from the airport (around a 5 minute walk), which was convenient as we were all very tired after a very long flight. Due to our late arrival and early check out, we were only in the room around 8 hours (7 hours of sleeping!) but we found it to be clean and comfortable and served its purpose. I noted that there was a pool and restaurant but we weren't there long enough to check them out.

Well the revamped Holiday Inn is certainly an improvement over the old Centra - although the outside of the building hasn't changed much!
Inside is a different story!
The room are new and fresh with a splash of colour and very clean and as mentioned by previous reviewers the beds are comfy and cosy.
Neither myself of the kids were interested in the outside pool though - it was about 9 degrees C on the day we were there and the pool is unheated!
The rooms are very quiet and are an easy walking distance from the airport with luggage and kids.
Much more luxury than the Formula 1 and much cheaper than the nearby Hilton!
My only complaint would be that on check-out - staff attempted to charge me an extra AUD40.00 over the amount I had been quoted - luckily I had a copy of the original quote with me!

A clean, neat hotel within 400m of the terminals at Melbourne airport. Very comfortable beds, good bathroom facilities. Friendly, efficient staff. Book your shuttle to the airport the evening before!!

Arrive late evening; get up to catch your plane the next day – this hotel offers all you need. More than one night – probably not. But at prices much lower than the Hilton, it is good value for those early morning flights. I’d stay here again under similar circumstances.
