We stayed for a night and arrived at reception at about 830pm. Lady at front desk was robotic, no welcome greeting, smile, or offer of assistance. Just pay for your rooms, leave a security bond, take your keys and off you go. Asked for assistance to nearest supermarket but never got there as directions given were not clear. Could have offered us a map.

Kitchen in the room needs renovation. Cabinets were old, and dated. Coffee/tea hidden in cabinet though it was complementary. Wouldn't want to cook in the kitchen as it looked dirty.

Tap for shower hard to manouver. A slight turn on the knob causes water to be too cold or too hot. Took us a long time to get it right. When we finally got it, we dare not turn the water off, and the next person quickly got in to shower.

Clothes washer malfunction. Knob cycle does not turn, so it stays on the same cycle all the time. Had to maually turn the knob so that it can rinse, wash, spin etc. Dryer timer also not working. Cothes were drying in there the whole night, and never turn off though clothes were already dry. Very bad for the clothes.

When sleeping, could hear the traffic noise, horse galloping etc. So quite noisy. May be quieter if facing the carpark.

Beds are comfortable and bedsheets were smooth and soft. Location is very good, surrounded by eateries and shopping. 15mins walk to Queen Victoria Market.

Will probably not stay here again, as we stayed at a better apt on our return leg for almost the same price.

This one of the best locations in the CBD to stay. It's right around the corner from Myers and opposite the big Melbourne Central shopping centre. Close to Chinatown and a short tram ride up the road to Victoria Markets.

The staff seemed really friendly (despite the previous reviews) and were very courteous and helpful. Robyn in particular seemed to go out of her way when I rang a week before our trip and they couldn't find our booking (made through the Entertainment Book). Robyn investigated into this matter and manage to find our booking finally.

Our room was a two bedroom apartment which was very spacious and clean. Fully equipped kitchen so we could cook a couple of meals during our stay. The laundry was adequate and bathrooms fully stocked with soap, shampoo, shower gel, etc.

TV and DVD player in the lounge worked well with our 4year old. Free high speed internet was a bonus as well.

Husband used the gym a couple of times but the pool was just an oversized spa pool. Kid still liked it though.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to all. The price was very reasonable considering it is in the middle of the city.

Shopping as always was fantastic!!

I stayed for a couple of nights whilst on business. I had a large studio which was very well equipped and very clean. The bed was especially comfortable. In room washing machine and ironing facilities were so helpful to refresh the laundry in the middle of a long business trip. Very central for downtown Melbourne's business district.

Perfect location for those who want or need to be in the city. The hotel is serviced by the Skybus which made our arrival and departure really easy.

On check-in my partner and I were really underwhelmed with the welcome. We were basically ignored by one lady, and then checked in by another guy. No "hello" or "welcome" what so ever, it was just "do you have a booking?" and "what name is that under?"

We got to our room and it was OK. Nothing wrong with it, but it didn't really wow us, and it certainly didn't feel homely. We didn't use the cooking facilities, but they seemed more than adequate. The room served its purpose for the stay.

Our room was overlooking the street. There was some noise from the street, and in particular the trams in the mornings, but this didn't bother us and it certainly wasn't loud enough to wake us up.

The only reason I would stay in this hotel again would be because of its location. Across the street is a 24 hr 7/11, which is where you can buy your daily metcards, snackfoods etc.

Checkout was a much better experience than check-in. We had a different guy, can't remember his name, but he was really nice and helpful in organising our transfers to the airport. Overall though, the service was let down by the initial experience upon check-in. First impressions last.
