“Exceptional Hotel”

If you want to be totally spoiled this is the place for you. From check in to check out staff were fantastic. The rooms are beautiful especially the bathroom with the added touch of a TV over the bath. I highly recommend this Hotel

I stayed six nights at the Crown Tower, one of three hotels in the Crown casino complex in Southbank on the southern side of the Yarra River. This was the second week of an Australian vacation that included a week in Sydney.

Melbourne is an absolutely amazing city and I must say, after two trips to Sydney, it is a more interesting city than the capital of New South Wales and I mean no offense to Sydneysiders who are great people.

I booked online at the Crown Tower months before my trip and pre-paid which saved me 25% on the room costs. My room, 2805, was spectacular. This is the kind of class you find in other casino/hotel destinations like Bellagio in Las Vegas. The staff were very friendly and there was a daily vist with amenties like fresh fruit, chocolates, etc. The location is perfect with the pedestrian and vehicular bridges over the river into the CBD. There's a grocery story and bottle shop just 2 minutes away if you're tired of paying the outrageous mini-bar prices!

The casino itself is a massive monster with absolutely no theme or particular sense of planning. If you gamble and aren't pathological about it you may be put off by Australia's "nanny state" mentality...you get the sense that they want your money but there are so many restrictions and warnings, reminders, etc about betting over your head. It didn't seem to bother the many, many elderly Asians who frequent the casino floor.

Again, first class restaurants and public areas and right on the river in a massive complex that includes an amazing cinema experience I had at the Crown Gold Class theatres, where you pay a few extra bucks to watch a film in amazing Lazy-boy style seats with butler service.

You'll pay a premium but if you need a place to stay in Melbourne you can't go wrong with the Crown.

Room Tip: One of the few hotels in Melbourne with smoking.

I have stayed at Crown Towers maybe 5 times now as it is my favorite hotel. Apart from the absolute luxury and attention to fine details the most memorable thing is the amazing service. Every staff member from the cleaners to management greets you when passing with a smile, a "good evening" or a " have a nice day". They do this not in a subservient way but a welcome to my home kind of way. It makes me feel very welcome and special. Crown towers is a luxury experience right from when the bell boy opens my taxi door. The foyer is magnificent with the fountains and Chrystal ceiling, the rooms are large ( even the cheapest) with great views over Melbourne city and Yarra river. I love the dedicated walk in robe and beautiful marble bathroom with deep bath and tv ( yep). The luxury touches include a number of latest magazines, Simon Johnson teas and a turn down service that includes ice in your silver ice bucket and a different "present" on your pillow every night. The first night Lindt chocolates and the next a herbal lip balm. The only minuses are that the spa is within the ( beautiful, ornate) swimming pool so it isn't heated as a spa would normally be and when I first stayed they had all the foxtel channels now they only have the usual suspects. It is also not right in the shopping district, but a short walk across the river is all it takes and they have a free shuttle bus. Also it is in the Crown complex so plenty of great restaurants and shopping are just a lift ride away. Thank you Crown for another great stay, can't wait to see the new renovations unveiled when I return next year for a couple of nights of indulgence.

Room Tip: Ask for Yarra view

I stayed at Crown Casino for 3 nights over the long weekend with my husband in a 1 bedroom Premier Club Suite on level 21, from the moment we arrived we were blown away from the outstanding service, we had a private checkin on level 3 and was also able to have private drinks and canapes each day (which is incuded when staying in the premier club suite) i highly recommend staying in a suite its expensive but so worth it. The service is just amazing and the suite was unbelievable, i fell inlove with the bathroom its really nice. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the suite is very clean, towels got replenished twice a day. The bed is very comfortable and relaxing. We really enjoyed the breakfast and food / restuarants in Crown, I wouldnt stay anywhere else when travelling to Melbourne. its definetly #1 !!! Everything about it was just amazing, 5star is an understatement, and its close to everything! I will be back!!
Thanks Crown what an experience!!!!

Once you walk in and see the view and bathroom you know you've picked a great hotel!! Little complaints were the few choices on foxtel (alot of sport and news but need more lifestyle channels). You want to spend time in the room so better choices, and a kittle mire reasonably priced room service would be good!!

The hotel is in the centre of melourne with great links to the city and the nearby businesses. I would walk for 10 mins each day to work and back from the hotel. Excellent services, total entertainment with casinos and best cusines in the world. would suggest you stay there or atleast visit once when you go to australia.

Crown Towers far exceeded already high expectations, and more. I chose to stay in a Deluxe Villa on Level 31 for a romantic evening - this was a splurge, and I was not disappointed. The views were pure magic. The service from all involved, from beginning to end, was impeccable - we were treated like royalty - such that even checking-in was a highlight! The size of the Villa was overwhelming; the appointments therein and design thereof of the the highest class - gadgets for the gents, glamour for the girls. The room service was prompt and professional, and of a high standard. Whilst we ate in, you are only minutes away from some of Melbourne's great restaurants and entertainment centres. Free admittance to the Crystal Club on Level 29 for drinks, nibblies and breakfast was memorable. It was, without question, one of the greatest nights out imaginable! For all this, you would ordinarily expect to pay top dollar - but you don't; relative to comparable hotels in Melbourne and abroad, the Crown Towers offers excellent value for money. I highly recommend the Crown Towers Villas for anyone planning something special for his or her better half.
