Where do I start ?? On the positive the location was fantastic, very central to Melbourne Hub. But the negatives started pretty much from check in. Our receptionist was not the most pleasant we have ever encountered, the rooms were tiny a lot smaller than you would assumed by reading the website ( I'm positive jail cells would be bigger ! ),the tv did not work but was rectified in a hastly manner by a Duty Manager, toilet and shower facilities were ok, very clean YET the shower water kept overflowing outside the door because the drain could not cope when the shower taps were at more than a third strength the water also fluctuated at random. The courtyard in front of the rooms looked quite out dated weirdly resembling a prison block, it was also very dirty dusty and unclean because of renovations getting done. Our 2 nights sleep there was TERRIBLE ! The courtyard lights which are on all night creep both sides of your door and at the bottom of both windows into the room, there were people playing soccer or something in the courtyard, yet worst of all were the tradesman that started work about 7am on a SUNDAY !!! WE only really used the room as a place to sleep because we spent a lot of time sightseeing so for what we were looking for it was not ideal because a decent sleep was not possible here ( this was early Dec 2013, maybe we just picked a bad time ). Cleaners done a great job with there morning hit and run mission, kudos to them.
Value for money ? A little overpriced for the rooms. Food I cant comment on because we didnt eat there, infact I didnt even see the attached restaurant until checkout ( I'm serious, its in an awkward place)
