“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

I liked the way the exhibits were set out. It brought back lots of childhood memories and recognises the contribution that the post war immigrants bought to this country. Wonderful

“Totally Worth Your Time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Such interesting exhibitions! My personal favorite was Leaving Dublin, individual accounts of Irishmen who have moved to Australia, though I suspect that is only a temporary instillation.

While the topic may sound boring to some, it's really fascinating because the museum tells the personal stories of people who have taken an incredible leap of faith in to the unknown. The artifacts (pieces of luggage that immigrants brought) and interactive activities (sample Australian citizenship test) keep you from just reading, reading, reading the whole time.

And at $10, a great price, too! Plan on spending a minimum 2 hours.

“Educational visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

I decided to check out the museum after reading the great reviews on trip advisor and I am so glad that I did. Interesting to learn about the immigrants that come to Australia and how Australia has evolved to be the country it is today. It costs AUD10 to get in and there is a guided tour at 2.30pm but I'm not sure if it is on every day. Best to check the website.
