“A historic look at immigration”

Melbourne do a great job with museums and this is no exception to that rule. It goes through the history of immigration over the years and is very infomative and interesting. Not a boring stuffy museum.

“History at its best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

It gave a great insight into the many and varied nationalities that made their home in Australia. I shared the experience with my Engish daughter in law and viewed it through her eyes. I was interested in their reasons for emigrating and the contribution that they and their families made to Australia. I hope to visit it again soon.

“Eye-opener”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

This was a fascinating insight into the whole issue of immigration in Victoria. Possibly the best part of it is the mock-up of the inside of ships of various times to give an idea of the conditions endured by the immigrants.
