“Terrible experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

We understood we would get a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 individual people to share in a comfortable configuration. Imagine our surprise when the 'apartment' didn't have a living room, but a king sized bed taking up almost the whole lounge space, with a couple of very uncomfortable chairs just fitting in around the bed. The bathroom which was tiny and badly fitted was right off the main bedroom (read loungeroom) so the people in the tiny 2nd bedroom needed to disturb those sleeping in the main room during the night. Dangerous wiring connecting the TV to a dodgy power point with double adapters swinging around. The staff were reasonably helpful as to allowing us to store luggage there for a few hours after checkout. I would NEVER stay there again, and wish I'd read the reviews first.

My boyfriend had his laptop and harddrive taken from our bedside table when we stayed here and we had no help from management at this place witu regards to finding out how it had been taken given that someone with a key had to have taken it as our room was locked and everything else was in order. They made no apologies and no attempt to help sort it out with police, etc. They even admitted that a former staff member still had a master key to the apartments!

Aside from that, this place looks nothing like how it does on its official website. The colour of the apt walls is yellow...and the air conditioner is yellow too...because it looks like it has never been cleaned. The fan in the bathroom sounds like a generator and there is no possibles way you could take a bath...It's basically a foot bath. The walls are extremely thin and there's no lift if you've got heavy luggage.

For $250 a night, you'd expect much much better.

I would like to personally thank Susan for arranging a bottle of wine on our arrival and the free onsite parking. I was at bit apprehensive to book into this place after going through the horrendous reviews on Tripadvisor however I must say that my time at Knightsbridge Apartments was very pleasant and that all of the staff members were accommodating and helpful. It is true that the place needs renovation however the King size bed was a great feature in the room. I would definitely recommend this place for overnight stayers. There is 1 train station and 1 tram station in the close vicinity of the property.

I really don't know how this place gets a rating of 3 stars in my opinion it would be lucky to rate 1 star, this place is not fit for any ratings/recommendations, have a look at my photo's
we stayed 3 nights but had we not prepaid I would not have stayed at all
the room was shabby and unkempt however the bedding while shabby and out dated appeared clean we had no hot water at 5:00am on our last morning too early to call anyone, the one good thing going for it was the reception staff were very friendly and helpful

Discusting, filthy, dirty. Warning the pics on Wotif and website are photoshop or fake..the rooms look nothing like the pics. Rooms are old and filthy. Its more like an old peoples homeless place or hostel.
Had no sleep was to scared no security. Unsavoury character sitting outside when i arrived. I booked 2 nights luckily reception was shut when i arrived so i checked out and paid 1 night was told to pay for two no way i was leaving asap.....dont be fooled.

Booked 5 nights didnt stay 1
What a dump my daughters roll away bed $20 per night was a Ripped,Stained smelly base of a bed with a donna as a mattress. When I complained to the manager it started a 2hr refund discussion.he could not see a problem and asked why I had stripped the bed.Half this discussion was in chinesse as he was on the phone to the owner. The 2 seats I had removed from the room were stained with god knows what. There is mold all over the bathroom the toilet seat had been bleeched that many times it had bubbles of plastic dripping off it.I have reported this place to Vic Health. This is the sort of place you see in the movies that rent rooms by the hour.As I was packing our stuff back in to the car Out of the shaddows came to Asian men asking me "why you cause trouble" I rand the Police and the police attended.Dont stay there my dog house is cleaner than that it is Hell hole unless you like taking chances with your health. The lady at check in was nice
