“Annual girls trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Very welcoming staff and thrilled when they offered us early access to our apartment after an early flight arrival....a very pleasant surprise. Great location....easy walk to Southbank and a pleasant stroll to the MCG. Nice balcony with a view over to the MCG and Tennis Centre. Roomy apartment, very clean and quiet. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Lovely girls weekend away. 4 friends traveling together for theatre and shopping. Couldn't have found a more convenient, clean apartment with more than helpful staff. Easy walking distance to casino and south bank. Staff more than willing to help out with maps and recommendations. All we needed in our apartment, nice and quiet. What fun!

Room Tip: We requested single beds and this was easily accommodated

Stayed here last night in a two bedroom apartment on the 11th floor. Check in was with an efficient and friendly person who gave us the run down of the place and where to park etc. (extra $20 for 1 night which is normal)
While the underground car park is a bit of a squeeze getting between levels in a big car the actual parking spaces were bigger than normal. Then it was a bit of a rabbit warren to find the lift, nothing serious as it was well lit and by clean. The lifts were fast and we were really pleasantly surprised with the clean, spacious room. The bathroom and shower need a tiny bit of de-moulding as thats the only part of the apartment that showed any signs of not being 100%.
Great location, very short walk to the promenade along the river and plenty of good restaurants.
I will be staying here regularly from now on.

A girl friend and I stayed here for the night as we were heading out to the city for drinks and didn't want to travel home. The location is close to flinders and a short taxi ride from anything else. The check in was easy and rooms were nice. We were on the 10th floor and could not hear a thing over night. Also the curtains are great block out for light and noise. The key drop off near the car park exit was so well positioned as you swipe to get out and then drop the key in the box. So practical and showed that the system was done from the point of view of guests. Fantastic night and will be back in the future.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 14th floor. It had everything we needed except for free WI FI access. The towels were wonderful, thick and fluffy, but hot water in the shower a little cool, the 2 bathrooms were a bonus. The hotel is in easy reach of all attractions. Unfortunately could not turn off the text on the TV. Reception helpful and friendly.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

I have just read some previous reviews before I posted mine and I have to say I am very impressed that the manager replies to all the negative comments made, it shows they care. I stayed on the 9th floor of Quest Southbank with my elderly mother and 9 year old son. It is very conveniently located for Southbank and Melbourne CBD. The room was light, airy and spacious with a large table and good size bedrooms. The laundry facilities are excellent and the rooms were clean and pleasant. Our room overlooked City Road, which is an extremely busy road with loud lorries coming through day and night. The soundproofing wasn't great and I found it quite hard to get used to the noise. However I requested to move to the other side of the building and the staff quickly found me an alternative room. But the room was smaller and not as nice so we decided to stay put. The other negatives were the shower did drench the floor but we rectified that, the balcony table was broken and there were quite a few light bulbs gone. Also my one bug bear is that wifi was charged at $13 a day. I really think that it is unfair to charge this amount when we are already paying a considerable amount for the room. I know it is quite common in Australia, but it is something I really object to. Apart from that I would highly recommend this apartment and the staff on the front desk were extremely accommodating and helpful.

Dear Xangrace,

I am happy to say that we dearly value all of our guest feedback, regardless of whether it is positive or negative. But it is fantastic to read great reviews such as yours.

I understand your comments regarding the WiFi cost and we do strive to keep it at a reasonable amount - especially considering the average charge at Melbourne hotels is in excess of $24 per day.

We hope we have the opportunity of welcoming youself and your family back again one day.

Sincere regards,

We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment and were very happy with the standard of accommodation. Made the mistake of sleeping with the window open on our first night and traffic noise was pretty bad. It was fine with the window closed. Room was cleaned about every second day and staff were helpful and friendly. Well located with a cafe, takeaway/chinese/italian restaurants, IGA (with booze) and Southbank precintact just a couple of minutes' walk away. Would stay again.
