“Great stay at the Seasons”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2010

We had an excellent stay at the Seasons. We took advantage of their Winter escape package and were given wine and chocolates on arrival as well as buffet breakfast.
The breakfast was great with plenty of varienty and food constantly topped up. The room was clean and spacious and the king bed very comfortable. We requested a room next to the couple we were staying with and a balcony and both requests were fulfilled. The pool, spa and sauna were great, especially in the middle of a cold winter. I would definately stay here again.

this is one of my worst stay in australia. Stayed there for 3 days. Although it was close to the city, the noise level produced by the trams were extraordinary loud. Room cleanliness was just acceptable only. Room service was not very good. Bed and toilet was still very untidy after service. Breafast was just very simple and staff was unfriendly. I strong urge everyone to think twice before coming.

We booked the Seasons online and got a bed and breakfast special. We had a one bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and clean. I had requested a room overlooking the botanic gardens on line but this was not acknowledged and we were given an apartment overlooking the buildings at the back of the hotel. The super king size bed was great. The location was perfect with it being a 4 minute tram ride into Federation Square with the tram stop being right outside the hotel. I used the gym on one occassion. The equipment was in good condition. The one night we attempted to use the spa the water was luke warm and it seemed a bit smelly suggesting it was in need of a clean. Breakfast did not include soy milk or gluten free bread which was a bit disappointing but overall a very impressive breakfast spread. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

Stayed a weekend in a one bedroom apartment in the Plaza section (the low rise front buidling) so was right on St Kilda Rd with a view of the Shrine of Remembrance. Noise from trams was surprisingly low. The apartment was very spacious and well laid out. The small kitchen with full stove and dishwasher was let down by lack of equipment - no saucepans or frypan - but if you asked I'm sure they would provide them. I asked for a coffee plunger and on the second attempt, it was delivered. Buffet breakfast was included in the deal but was quite ordinary. Better to self cater.

The hotel is handily located for a quick tram ride or twenty-minute walk into town. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment which was spacious, light, and equipped with washer/dryer and basic kitchen appliances.

The one drawback was a strange chemical smell which permeated the apartment during our stay. This was something like melted plastic or a strange cleaning product - we never quite got to the bottom of it.

Breakfast is provided on a voucher system - there were a couple of small negatives here. We arrived fairly early one morning but our first vouchers were for the following morning and we weren't allowed to swap, which seemed a little unwieldy. Also, the breakfast options are adequate - the cooked breakfast was good - but a continental cheese/meats option would've been nice. You may find making your own breakfast in the room a nicer option.

Staff were helpful and the hotel was on the whole quiet. It has a pool which looks ok though we didn't try it out, and a small car park to the rear which carries an additional expense.

A decent option.

Seasons Botanic was a wonderful choice and i will continue to stay there when i return to melboune AUS. the rooms where huge and the service at the front counter was excellent the people were extreamly helpful and polite.
the only downside is my 2 teens came with me and the room i stayed in could cater for 3 people but a trundle bed had to be paid for wich cost about $55 australian dollars for a plain single bed with a thick sheet and we had to request for a pillow which was a letdown.
liitle tip for your average under 12-13 year old the couch is firm but quitwe large if they or you are not fussy .....
it was reasonable value although we had a voucher book which provided us with discount.
i strongly suggest this hotel as it was a good distance from the city VIA TRAM A 20-25 minute walk to the city

(it was quiet because it was not right in the heart of the city , so i strongly suggest it)
not many restraunts close by ..
