My husband and I stayed here for two nights over the weekend of his birthday, and definitely intend to be back at some point (usually we're loyal to the Langham...). Friendly and quick check-in, with some chocolate truffles and sparkling wine in our room as a birthday gift. Fantastic views looking out over Melbourne, as the hotel is on the top few floors of a building with offices underneath.
We had a club room and loved the club lounge, definitely one of the best we've been to. Huge views, a variety of seating areas, lovely and accommodating staff, and great food and drink. Breakfast was lovely: a small but delicious buffet with a variety of hot and cold dishes (and superb croissants) as well as an à la carte menu to order from - I recommend the eggs Benedict. Snacks and coffee throughout the day with delicious chocolates in the afternoon, light lunch, wine (including a few French choices which my husband loved) and canapés in the evening (among other things). We had intended to do more in Melbourne itself but enjoyed the club lounge so much we had more of a relax+food weekend, and loved it.
The paintwork in our room was a little rough in patches and the air-conditioner old, but the service and rest of the hotel more than made up for a couple of cosmetic/age issues (which I'm usually more critical of).

Room Tip: Club lounge is well worth it.

We arrived Friday midday, our room ready to go, we were on level 48, our room fantastic, although bathroom was small, bed, amenities, all first class, views brilliant, even better at night.
On level 35,we had breakfast, light lunch, afternoon tea, and drinks in the evening, all food and drinks top notch. The staff in hotel were on the ball and very helpfull, nothing was to hard for them. We checked out Sunday and we spent a couple of hours on level 35 waiting, had lunch and relaxed, it was better than hanging at the airport. Overall we would love to stay here again on our next trip.

We have just come back from a two night stay at the hotel to see the Monet exhibition. From check-in to check-out nothing was too much trouble. On check-in we were given chocolates and a complimentary drink in the Atrium bar. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied, service prompt and always with a smile. The hotel is near to many great restuarants too. A pool would make the hotel even better. Will definitely stay here when we next travel to Melbourne.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have great views

Thank you for your review on Trip Advisor. I was pleased to read you enjoyed your stay with us and the dining experiences in the hotel outlets. Due to the structure of the building, we are unable to build a swimming pool for guest use. We do offer our guests access to the swimming pool at the Mercure Hotel on Swanton Street, so during your next stay you are welcome to use this facility. Having said that I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
