I stayed at the Novotel on a Friday evening in March. It is a well appointed modern hotel with all the perks of a 4 star property.
As you exit the lift you are gretted by a modern dinning and bar area with the reception off to your left. Check in staff were polite and made check in a good experiance the wait was not to long either.
We were in a premier room on the 12th Level. Our room overlooked the atrium which was quite different to a view of the city or street below as with most other hotels in Melbourne. It still had plenty of natural light that filled the room through the atrium roof and block out blinds for privacy from the public eyes below. Mind you the windows were also tinted.
Bed comfortable and King Size. Bathroom was a bit of a squeez but the shower was quite large.
The only downside to the property is that you have to take 2 lifts to get to your rooms. One from the street to the lobby then one from lobby to the rooms. with a small walk between each.
If you are booking the premier rooms they are located a fair walk from the lifts on the "quite side" of the property.
We had a late night snack in the bar around 10:30pm after a fun night out on the town. The food was excellent quality as were the drinks. The bar is quite a chilled out area and very relaxing.
All in all an enjoyable stay at the Novotel Melbourne. Thanks!
