“Friendly Helpful Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

We booked the Privilege Garden View King Room package. We loved the newly refurbished balcony room, it had beautiful views of the Treasury Gardens. I loved the Nespresso coffee manchine, chocolates, mineral water, magazines, free internet, bathrobes, slippers, espresso coffee and T2 Teas. The staff were very friendly, they let us check in early and gave us lots of helpful advice about tourist spots and where to catch the tram, they even gave us a late check out on Sunday. The foyer and restaurant were basic, but the room and staff were very good.

Excellently positioned if you are attending sporting events at the MCG, AAMI Park or Rod Laver Arena as it is a very short walk to all of them. As with all Hotels around the world, they do not cater very well for families of 6 with the cost rising dramatically as you have to have two hotel rooms. Bring back bunk beds!
We were a little disappointed that the Bar/Restaurant closed at 10pm on a Friday night however the staff were wonderful in all areas, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were very flat. The bathrooms were small however very clean and well appointed. Loved the fact that the shower heads were high as normally, I have to stoop to get under them and I am only 6 feet tall! All round, a nice hotel and will definitely stay there again.

I was pleased to read that you and your family had an enjoyable stay. The Bar usually stays open later, however due to demand, without knowing exactly when you were here it is hard for me to comment but always feel free to ask the team and they will do their best to accommodate. We look forward to seeing you all again soon. Regards Karen Taylor Mercure Melbourne Treasury Gardens

A well locate hotel near the hearth of Melbourne, easy to access by car or public transport, in front of the superb park of Treasury Gardens.
Rooms are very nice, new and good-sized for a business traveller or even a couple on holiday. Personnel is ok, helped me very easily; price is not cheap, but it seems to be aligned to the Mel centre average.
Good choice, however!

Were initially upgraded to a Garden View room, which was nice. Unfortunately the plumbing in the bathroom was leaking. The staff & manager were extremely quick to respond & were very apologetic. We then were promptly upgraded again to the Garden View room with a balcony. Nice hotel, close to tram stop, still disappointed Accor Hotels in Victoria don't stock Victorian beer.
