Our weekend get away to Melbourne was a great experience. For the rate we paid, we were very pleasantly surprised by the size and the comfort of the hotel apartment.

Smack in the city we were a walk away from majority of the city attractions and dining locations.

There were ample car parking space at the hotel, which was very important being located in the city centre and parking can be costly and a nightmare to find.

Definately will be staying at the Medina on our next trip to Melbourne.

Very nice experience in this hotel (checked in on march 14th and checked out march 17th), although it is not a luxurious hotel and i may be influenced by the fact we got an upgrade as soon as we arrive, i can tell the attention was quite good, they answer every request very politely and with good information.
The Location is great. Melbourne is a great city and you can see it all from this hotel.
The only downside of this hotel was the poor housekeeping, but not a big deal since everything else is great.
Looking forward to be back.

We stayed for 3 days in a peak weekend due to the F1 Grand Prix, and we had absolutely no inconvience. Further more, we got a complementary upgrade to one of the penthouse in the 21th Floor.
Apart from that, everyone at the recepcion always helped us and made our stay a very pleasant one.

Anytime we had a doubt not only they helped us, but they also did it with a smile in the face. ( in total opposition to the Grand Medina Sydney)

The Hotel is very well located, the apartement in the room is very big and have beautfiul views, the only bad things is that it was a little bit noisy due to the rooftop machineries, but nothing that couldnt let you have a nice sleep. If i ever have the chance to go back to Melbourne i would definitely stay there.

I stay at the Medina Grand in Melbourne whenever I visit a particular client offices that are within easy walking distance of the hotel. It is quite pricey for what you get. I guess my problem is that I once stayed in one of their penthouse apartments at the very top and that has spoiled me for the average room here. The rooms are comfortable and beds equally so. Nothing outstanding though. I also dont like having to disconnect the phone to use the modem - would much prefer a separate modem line. Location is fantastic though so I guess you cant have everything. There is a pretty decent restaurant downstairs too and they do room service if you dont want to sit there by yourself - although even I didnt feel too out of place sitting in there by myself and I do like to stop in for Happy Hour when I get home from work. A few minor annoyances revolve mostly around the fact that, like most so-called "fully equipped" apartments, there are basic items simply not there so I dont bother trying to make it a home from home. I didnt really like the long skinny arrangement of the room with one skinny side being the "living" portion and the other skinny side being the sleeping and bathroom portion. All in all though it is clean and reasonably ok.
