“A forest in a museum is pretty cool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

This museum is about as good as they get: lots of interactive displays, lots of accessible information. It only has a few galleries but they have picked the topics people like most (bodies, bugs, animals, evolution, Melbourne etc.).

“Kids gallery at Museum - what a treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Our favourite spot for our grandson's visits in Melbourne. He has LOVED the kids gallery since he was ONE and his enjoyment has only grown each visit. To be surrounded by wonderful interactive things to do, other kids to watch and play with - what more can you ask for.

He never wants to leave [and neither do the other kids] and manages to keep playing well past his sleep time. Well done Melbourne Museum! This will continue to be a regular day out for us.

“A playground for adults and children alike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

Loved the dinosaurs and the bugs exhibit. Plenty to captivate children and engage adults. A thought provoking, fun visit (perfect for a rainy Melbourne day). $10 admission for adults - certainly great value.

“Unexpected Highlight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

We visited Melbourne for the Comedy Festival, not the Museum, but the Museum proved a highlight of our stay. All the exhibits are well laid out, and designed to be interesting to all ages. I particularly enjoyed the insect exhibit and the forest exhibit. We spent a delightful couple of hours wandering through, and it was the only time during our weekend away that I wished our children were along with us. When we do visit as a family this will definitely be on the agenda.
