In an attempt to "try something new" & go for a boutique experience, we first opted for the Lyall Hotel (see my review). Well, after only 1 night there, we humbly crawled to the Park Hyatt like dogs w our tails between our legs hoping they'd have a room for us. Thankfully, they did & our stay in Melbourne was saved!

LOCATION: In the heart of Melbourne & exactly where you'd want to be but removed enough where you won't hear any "city" noise. Next to a gorgeous church. Great views!

ROOMS: Clean, incredibly spacious, modern furnishings, huge bathroom w jacuzzi tub & separate shower & great natural light. I loved it!

SERVICE: Everyone was accommodating, attentive & very nice.

We loved this hotel & would definitely return if ever in Melbourne again!

Excellent hotel. Large luxurious room with everything you could wish for even a tv in the bathroom! Breakfast was very expensive we only ate there one morning. Staff very helpful and attentive. If I had one complaint it would be the shower which wasn't very good.

Stayed for one night - booked through cheap website so obviously didn't get the best room in the hotel but it was gorgeous. The room was huge with a walk through bathroom/dressing room. I particularly liked the tv in the bathroom and the extremely comfy bed.

Would definitely stay here again!

Spent a weekend here in king room. We just loved it, very classy, foyer was very grand. The staff were all very friendly and professional, from check in, to carrying our bags to the staff in the restaurant. Bed was a true king bed, not split one that you often get. The room was a good size, the bathroom and coffee making area were separate. The room had everything that you could possibly want, bathrobes, a make-up mirror even an umbrella. The pool and spa were excellent. With a lovely view of the G and surrounding area. Only used the restaurant for breakfast, which was quite pricey at $40.00 for a buffet, but food was of very good quality.

I stayed at this hotel with my husband. When we arrived we were directed to a room which turned out to be a room with a cot, changing table etc. Judging by the noise on that floor, it would appear that this hotel has a deal going with maternity hospitals where new mothers stay there rather than in hospital. When we asked for the cot/ changing table/ baby bath to be taken out of the room, we were told we would be given another room. We were then upgraded to a King Spa Room which was huge! Walk in dressing room, huge bathroom, lounge area, king bed. It was great!

Breakfast had a good range, but there was no-one making omelettes on request which you would expect from a 5 star hotel like this.

I would stay at the Park Hyatt again. It's in a good location at the top of Melb CBD within easy walk to restaurants etc.

I cannot fault any part of my stay at this hotel. Stayed for 2 nights in a Spa King room and it was well worth it. The room was beautiful, clean and modern. Managed to feel spoilt the entire time I was there.

It was lovely to go out during the day and return to a made up room and then go out for the evening and come back to a turned down room complete with dim lighting, ice bucket filled and ready to use. Staff were at all times friendly and helpful.

Apart from the fitness centre which is well equipped and maintained, we didn't really utilise any of the other services of the hotel so can't comment on those.

Went to Melbourne with my now fiancee for a romantic getaway and surprise proposal. Called the Hyatt and explained. Was told they would try to help. Was greeted very personally and upgraded to a suite. Suite not ready on arrival- very respectfully asked to wait at the lobby restaurant. Could not find fault with anything throughout the hotel.
