“Lindrum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2011

really enjoyed our stay at the Lindrum, surpised that it is so quiet in the room as quite a busy road. We walked down to Rod Laver Arena for a show and in the morning had a fantastic breakfast next door at the Little Press cafe (The Press Club)
the location is fantastic, its stylish and comfortable and the reception staff were lovely
nice bar for a drink prior to going out or waiting for others too. We have stayed a couple of times and recommend highly

My partner and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Lindrum last week having read the comments made here. The hotel is located close to Treasury gardens and is only a very short walk to Flinders St station and beautiful Collins St and access to public transport is nearby. From the moment that we were greeted at reception on our arrival to our departure the service and attendance provided by the hotel staff was excellent - professional and friendly. The superior room which we occupied was elegant, quiet and spacious. Unfortunately we didn't eat in the Felt restaurant due to our own mistake of deciding to do so on the Sunday night when it is closed. However we did have room service on 3 occasions and the food each time was excellent - I can definitely recommend the Walter Lindrum burger. Snooker table is a great bonus. We will definitely stay again.

This hotel is well located in Melbourne with easy access to the city and all it offers, in an easy walk . The convenience of having a car park located next door with discounted parking is a bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were efficient, friendly and helpful.

One of the main photos at the Hotel’s website page shows a long (designer ?) carpet leading into the hotel lobby and beyond. When we opened the large entry door to the hotel the first thing I noticed was the carpet, and how dirty it looked. ‘First impressions……’ as they say!

My only other comment would be that the TV in the room was too small and guests viewing would be more comfortable with a larger flat screen.

Great hotel and staff very friendly / helpful. Location is very handy to the city, walking distance.

Only feedback would be to ask for a room not on the side adjacent to the all night car park. The lights of the car park stay on overnight and despite the blinds/curtains in the room, light still comes through. The light coming in made it hard for my partner to get to sleep.

Wonderful hotel many historical features including a snooker table and other Walter Lindrum (past world class billards player) items. Staff were great even provided an i pod charger on request. Great location only a 10-15min walk from Flinders Street Station or 5mins on the tram.

I love this place. Everything about it. When i drive past it i just stare at it's beauty.

Formally a Billiards manufacturing building, whoever renovated this place deserves some sort of award. It's just perfect.
Like a piece of New York City right in the heart of Melbourne and just a 5 min walk from Fed Square.

My girlfriend and I decided to stay here for a romantic night away and we chose this place because of it's uniqueness.
We stayed in a suite with beautiful arch windows overlooking the sporting precinct. The bed was huge and extremly comfortable.

The main cocktail bar downstairs is just so adorable.

In fact, the whole place just oozes romance, so much so that my girlfriend and I are going to make it a yearly thing.

Love it! A far better experience than anything the Sheraton, Sofitel, Hilton, etc etc type hotels could ever even hope to offer you.

Great boutique hotel....classy, stylish, comfortable, luxurious, indulgent. I loved it 7 years ago, and it's great to know that it still lived up to my expectations. It does not have a gym or pool, but our deluxe room had a DVD and CD player....you can get DVDs and CDs from reception.
