“Fun Shopping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

This is a great marketplace for food as well as general goods. The delis at the front of the market carry all kinds of food for general shopping as well as to be consumed on premise. The old-fashioned mosaic tilework is truly beautiful.

“Everything you'd expect from a market and more”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

Truly an experience to be had especially where the delis are concerned. Beautiful food, nice and fresh and very tasty. The clothing and other stalls are what you expect to see at a market, obviously some better than others, but if you're looking for a bargain then this is the place to visit. Easy to get to via tram from the CBD of Melbourne or if you like a walk it's about 10-15 mins from the CBD. Easy peasy!

“Night Market is a must!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

The Night Market is totally different to the daytime tourist trap( although it is a very superior tourist trap!).Food stalls selling every imaginable type of cuisine, music stages dotted around and a fantastic warm atmosphere all meant a great evening out.We only popped in out of curiosity and spent the whole evening there( it starts to disperse around 22:00).
The permanent daytime food shops here are also amazing with a fantastic array of meat, seafood and deli fare. Can't see any point in food shopping anywhere else.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

We were there at around noon, had lunch (just pizza) at a small quaint little shop. There were plenty to look at and buy. Trust me you won't go home empty handed. Smoothies and fruit juices were aplently and fresh. Fruits (peaches, strawberries, grapes etc etc) were really fresh. There were loads of fresh nuts (macadamia, pecan almonds etc etc). You will need at least 2hrs to come thru everthing. Good place to buy cheap souvenirs. Plenty of variety. Lots of snacks that you can purchase on the go.

“A little for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014 via mobile

We went on a Sunday which was some sort of BBQ Sunday.
Food:
There's organic fruit and veg
Wine
Meats
Cheese
Food trucks - my fave, American doughnuts

Shopping:
Usually market tat

But it's the vibe and atmosphere that makes this market fabulous.
It's friendly and casual. Not hectic or pushy.

Would I return or recommend?
100% yes
