“WAY too expensive for what you get.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The room we were given was on level two, really noisy as its near the pipes, window facing fence, Its in NOT free wifi like advertised on trivago, in fact its $26.50, for only 24 hours, which is a massive rip off. Oh, and the Tvs picture was beyond bad. not Impressed in the least. The staff were relatively friendly though.

Room Tip: just ask for a higher level if possible.

LOCATION:
This hotel is about a $12 taxi ride from the city and to be honest is a lovely location as it has awesome views (city side) and the park is nice to walk around. Its also a 10 minute walk to Richmond which has some nice restaurant's and a coles supermarket if needed.

ROOM:
Good in size and space and the bathroom is nice and large but its all very dated. The bathroom was old and tired and the tiles needed the grout cleaned. The rooms are also old and dated and lack a nice modern classy feel but more remind me of a 70's motel room. the Air-conditioning is a nightmare! its old fashioned and very noisy!!!! if you want to sleep with it going good luck! After 7 days I found this a depressing environment to be in. How ever the bed was extremely comfortable.

SERVICE:
I can honestly say that the service was really good!! the staff are really friendly and willing to help anyway they can, especially on advice for things to do and great places to eat, If it wasn't for the great service I would more than likely have checked out and found a more modern hotel in the city. The staff deserve gold stars as without them the hotel would be well below average standards.

FOOD:
The food and coffee was really good too, the room service was good but I found the menu lacked a good amount of options after several days, but the quality was good and the food always arrived on time with room service. It was a little on the over pricy side though.

OVER ALL:
This hotel isn't what you expect from a Pullman but charged like one, The hotel needs a major renovation in the rooms and some decent aircon that's quiet. The staff are great!! I would stay here again if it was a cheap option. Also if the hotel is buys the wi fi doesn't work! very annoying!

Room Tip: Go higher up to avoid the noise unless you need wi fi as it doesn't work for a lower level, I wo...

Attended a conference here, spend 6 days. Lots of construction happening, very noisy, not the best experience. Quite expensive for what you get. Rooms are adequate and comfortable, service good. Nothing spectacular wrong with the whole experience, however I feel there is better options in Melbourne. Maybe once construction has been completed it will be good again, but I can only comment on my experience on the day.

This hotel is a little way out of the CBD but is served by trams and trains close by. We stayed here in a one nigh stopover before an international flight. The room upgrade was great and we could use the Executive Lounge as Platinum Accor member. Our room was lovely and looked recently renovated. The views from high floors over Melbourne are great. Only small issues were pool closing quite early (9pm) and Exec Lounge breakfast only starting at 730am (should be 7am as advised by reception...).

We stayed here for just one night on a last minute deal which gave us an executive room, access to the club lounge (free food and booze) and to the pool and gym for just $220. At this price it was a total bargain.

The hotel is a re-badged Hilton hotel. It could do with modernisation in the communal areas but was fitted out to a very high standard some years ago.

The exec rooms have been renovated and are very comfy and clean. Room service was good but not exceptional. Service was in general very good.

Room Tip: The exec level rooms are very comfy

I have been to most part of the world being a flight attendant. I cant believe this is possible in Australia, the worst internet connection and the most expensive 26.50au$. Please , while hotels in poor countries offer free and fast net connection, why not in australia. Avoid rooms facing the 2 train railways as even the higher floors, the noise could still be heard. Needs upgrading...

Previously the Hilton on the Park recently taken over by Accor. The once grand hotel is showing her age. Our room 404 which faced Wellington Parade, was clean and comfortable and had most amenities if somewhat dated. Noise from the plumbing and hallway were sometimes intrusive, particularly late at night. Breakfast was the typical buffet with plenty of variety, regrettably the hot dishes were warm at best. Staff in all areas were very good even when the bar and lounge were flooded with football supporters before and after the game at the MCG, which is directly opposite. The hotel would benefit from refurbishment, however the bar and food prices are already 5 star with breakfast at $35 per person and $13.50 for a glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
