We are HH Gold and stay at Hilton Worldwide properties, I stayed at Hilton on the Park in 2003/4 It was in poor condition and looked and felt very tired. We have stayed since then at The new south wharf 3 times and loved it. On this visit of 5 days we decided to give the Park another go.
We were pleasantly surprised Mardi was our first point of contact at Reception and she is so wonderful, genuinely hospitable. Mardi left a great impression and we were delighted to be recognised for our loyalty to the brand and were upgraded and received 5 star service for the whole stay. She remembered our names and used them on the following days, outstanding for aussie service. This is the norm in asia or the middle east hotels.
The room 1909 was lovely and we appreciate the renovations. Having open windows is great too. Double glazing helps keep noise out as does the black out curtains. Everyone comments on the bath/shower issues well there is no room for changes so people get over it! But thanks for the advise about putting non slip mat down and the taps etc. We found it no problem.
Breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had in a stay at Hilton. Very clean, great choice and fast service. Brian is friendly and funny. Lounge on 18th floor is of high standard, drink choices are wide and varied. They need just one or two dessert or sweets for the evening service like most other lounges. All the staff in the lounge make you feel welcome and attend to any requests. The property has improved 100% all the common areas are spotless and clean.
My only observation is for the trays from room service. on most days i noticed trays from breakfast left in hallways until 830pm or later when someone came and cleared them 12 hours in the hallway is not the most appealing.
Housekeeping was done to a high standard and room always was spotless.
The Spa/pool area is fantastic and Eforea looked inviting. I use gyms in all hotels this one is too small especially when busy. South Wharf Hilton gym is huge and full of new equipment plus large selection of weight training gear.
Concierge staff always ready to do anything and very friendly and efficient.
We still have 1 night to go but am so impressed that we will plan to stay again for our next business trip. The changes have made this property definately worth 5 Stars all round!!
Didnt stay on standard floors but the exec room floors are lovely and great views on both sides.
