Description: This hip urban space in Melbourne's CBD is a welcoming retreat from the cold with its effervescent fit-out, attentive service and creative cuisine. Queen Street Rescue Restaurant Bar dishes out contemporary Australian fare with unique flavour combinations. The restaurant has a rustic, weathered look about it, from the shabby chic wall panels in white, baby green and lilac hues to the long timber tables with their bucolic-style wooden chairs. Great food, wine and some old fashioned table service where the wait staff do more than just take your order but make you feel like you've been coming here for years! We also cater for those needing a Gluten Free menu!

“Coffee Rescue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

I’ve had drinks, coffee and lunch at QSR and have never been disappointed. I’ve been here for lunch and it was surprisingly good. They do a special in the morning so coffees here are $2.50 before 11 a.m. (I think). Food here is reasonably priced. Rekordeligs here are $10 a bottle. For a CBD establishment, I’m okay with that.

How would describe the decor? Mix and match. The bookshelves in the corner remind me of someone’s home. Overall, not a bad place to get a lunchtime bite or have a business strategy meeting... The staff make the difference though, they are amazingly friendly.I rate them highly on service.

“Friendly atmosphere with great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

Stayed at the Adina Apartments adjoining this restaurant. Luckily they are open until at least 11pm as they provide room service for Adina. Looking for somewhere good to eat at 10pm on a Tuesday night is not easy! Food was great (loved the garlic pizza!) and was really fresh. But it is the staff who make the difference. So laid back and friendly! Nothing was too much trouble. Had dinner, morning coffee, and afternoon drinks here (on different days). Each time we enjoyed the food, drinks and experience. Everything was very reasonably priced as well!

“Good coffee & exceptional service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

Built into the side of the hotel next door, I didn't expect great things, but after a two day inner city stay for work, the friendly staff here were really great - loved a chat, helpful and always looking after your order. Didn't eat here but was more than happy with the service and coffee.

“Great food! (Make sure to try the french toast!)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

I am so glad that we ate here whilst staying at Adina next door. The French Toast is to die for! I don't know how they do it but it is amazing!
The cocktails are great and if its not on their list they will still make it for you!
If you are in Melbourne this is the place to eat!

“Quirky and quaint.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Absolutely great food. The five of us were certainly not disappointed and the food quality was excellent and well priced. Try one of the pizzas. The hand cut chips were so delicious.
