“A Brilliant Sports Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

A haven of peace and quiet, like a shrine to every sporting code imaginable. I am not a sports person or fan but I really loved this venue especially the Olympic section, Shane Warne hologram, the Fashions in the Field section and the delightful older gentlemen in their striped blazers who told me so much about crickets balls I never knew before!!

We had complimentary tickets but I would go again and pay for the experience.

“What a tour!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Took our grandson to the MCG. What a thrill! Lesley, our guide, was so friendly, helpful and informative about the history and culture of our beloved "G". Worth every penny of the entrance price. Just remember if you have kids with you to do the tour, then lunch, then the Museum itself.

“Excellent for Cricket & AFL Lovers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Wonderful gathering of cricket and AFL history and memorabilia, especially high quality in relation to cricket history. If you have an interest in this area, you will enjoy this. The exhibits are high quality and the hologram of Shane Warne and his performance is outstanding. Make sure you sit in the little theatre and watch it from beginning to end. There is also a significant collection of Olympic memorabilia, most notably Cathy Freeman's suit that she wore when she won the gold medal in Sydney. The AFL collection is interactive and great for kids. If you are not a sports fan, you won't get much out of this, but that is stating the obvious.
