“Great new hotel with a cool vibe.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2011

Lovely concierge staff who allowed me to come back behind the desk to print my boarding pass, and who had no trouble keeping my bag between checkout and when I was due to be at the airport. The rooms are not huge, but they are lovely and new and have a really handy little kitchenette and a great balcony. The housekeeping staff were great also. No audible traffic noise, or noise from other patrons. The hotel is located almost directly across the road from a tram stop which can take you into the city, or toward chapel street, St. Kilda, or Brighton. The only "downsides" I can think of is there is no DVD player, and the rooms are a little dark but there is plenty of lighting.
Thanks for having me, Mint Rhapsody, I hope to come back again!

Stayed here on a Saturday night in a one bedroom apartment which was nice and clean though quite small. The pictures on the hotel website led me too believe it was actually bigger. The rate however was quite good compared to other hotels nearby not sure how long it will remain low though. The apartments design i really liked the bed, the side lamps, the chair, couch, table, curtains, bathroom, i also found it interesting that the wall above was concrete and not painted like the rest it didnt bother me too much though just made me wonder if the place was actually completed - it was! It makes you feel like your staying in a warehouse. The couch was really comfortable and probably the best feature in the apartment!! The bed was also quite good pretty big. Parking was $20.. a little expensive. Room service menu was good.
So the room, even though smaller then expected was good, the location (st.kilda rd short ride by car or tram too the cbd) was good, room service menu was good, they need too open a pool area, the one thing that i found too be quite annoying was how inexperienced the staff seemed too be. Fair enough the hotel just opened.. but im sure you would off had a lot off training before hand!. The staff did not seem too know what they were doing, very unhelpful, and i did not appreciate the way they stood there laughing and smirking at each other which made me feel uncomfortable. To sum it up - service was crap even before i got too the hotel i couldnt get a hold off them and they wouldnt reply too emails so i wont be staying there again not worth the effort.

Room Tip: dont stay next too a lift - maybe ask for a room thats not in the main cooridoor but on the sides.

Newly opened - very comfy room (& dark & quiet if you like a sleep in!) with new modern decor. Kitchenette with hotplate, microwave, dishwasher & full size fridge. Tram stop across the road (stop 26) to take you to CBD, Chapel St, St Kilda. Will stay here again!
