“Fun & different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Discovered this on our evening in Melbourne. Rather novel way of keeping the bill. Cold tapas self serve, hot tapas brought around the bar. Only ate downstairs but really enjoyed the vibe. Will visit again when next in Melbourne and try upstairs.

“Beyond Interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Extremely casual, hipster atmosphere may not be to all tastes - but it's coupled to astonishingly professional and cheerful service. The rooftop can get pretty random in the timing of what arrives from your food orders - which adds a kind of interesting lottery charm to the proceedings. The rooftop bar's views are amazing, but can get crowded and you may end up standing - so go early as they don't take reservations. The Tapas are "proper". Nothing uninteresting and lots of goodies: the eggplant rolled in honey and blue cheese and then deep fried is kind of at the top of my list. It is so busy I'm not entirely sure dinner there would be quite as good, but as a place to go for drinks and finger food, it's kind of equalled, which is saying a lot in Melbourne.

“go for a beverage, stay for dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Since they don't accept reservations, the best thing to do is have a snack before you arrive, so you can enjoy the extensive list of adult beverages with house-made infused vodkas without getting smashed before you finally get seated for dinner. Be sure to take them out on the deck with you and enjoy the view of downtown Melbourne. By the time you get a menu in front of you, you will have brushed past several diners (the tables are densely packed) and will have smelled a smorgasbord of heavenly flavors. You may be tempted to order one of everything, as it is tapas-style, but the meat dishes are pretty filling, so don't get too carried away. A handful of dishes plus bread ought to do it for two people. I recommend the prawn skewers.

“Amazing Melbourne Bar / Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

We were visitors to Melbourne and I had read about this bar somewhere. Walking along main road Fitzroy - there it was! We had to go in and check it out and it is now a highlight of our 3-day stay in Melbourne. Fantastic atmoshphere - $1 tapas on the bar for choosing, just like in Spain!
The decor was funky - a mish-mash of seating, benches, chairs, low tables. We had a quick visit to the rooftop bar to check it out and the view was amazing across the burbs. I can highly recommend this venue.
