$16.50 for a smallish bowl of French onion soup is a bit steep even by Melbourne standards. To cater for modern tastes, old French classics have been "lightened up" ...still tasty but nothing special. Conveniently located on a lane (aka alley) off Flinders with a contemporary decor. A largish entry way has "outdoor" seating that alas only looks out at a brick wall opposite. Perhaps because we were having an early dinner the staff did not seem to be quite ready for service.
