Owner description: Instead, the game is played on a "course", generally consisting of an arranged progression of either 9 or 18 "holes". Each hole on the course must contain a "tee box" and a "putting green" with the actual hole, and there are various other standardized forms of terrain in between such as the fairway, rough, and hazards, but each hole on a course and indeed among virtually all courses is unique in its specific layout and arrangement.

“Don't bother.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

While the idea of a glow in the dark mini golf course was awesome, the execution was incredibly mediocre. It felt like this was someone's DIY hobby than a professional mini golf course.

The venue is very small, with up to five holes crammed into a room. The barriers for the holes are so badly designed that you'll be spending more time chasing your ball around as it goes into other holes and apologising to other customers as you interrupt their game, than actually enjoying yourself. If you want to know how bad, there have literately been tree branches dumped on the floor to form a barrier where the ball can go straight underneath the gaps where the branches do not line up with the floor. Oh, and they're unsecured so you can always move them around too.

Save your money. Go to any other mini golf course.

Mia, we appreciate you in taking the time t submit a review, over the last few years the glowgolf is being considerably improved, as far as the removable branches go, you will find that these are in specific spots so that wheel chairs and prams can be moved through the area instead of parents and the disabled having to try and wheel their mobility devices over the top of them. We try to cater for as many people as possible including those with disabilities and not just a few.

“Started great..finished not so great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

I went with my friends a few years ago (really hoping it has changed since) the first few rooms were amazing and fun, but towards the end, from about the 4th last room to the very end they just got worse and worse, the last room was not glow in the dark at all but just a white walled room with a picture on it and a simple hole that swallows your ball. That was crap. I expected better seriously. Overall we had fun and it was really cool, but it was crap towards the end. I'd like to go back again hoping that it has improved since??

Thank you for your review Magda, we have done some improvements since your last visit, we have had a special hole built for hole 18 where you are given a random number on your last putt and a chance to win a free game, the walls still have not been finished as we have had terrible trouble trying to find a graffiti artist (who doesnt want $5,000) just to paint the walls for us.

“Lame!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

After reading numerous reviews on Tripadvisor - some amazingly positive (why???) and some negative, we decided to give this place a try. What a mistake! After a $30+ taxi ride from the Melbourne CBD, it cost us, 2 adults and 1 child another $37.00 to enter this haven of despair. The holes were uninteresting and overly simple, so much more could have been done to add more oomph with some plants or other props. VERY repetitive with plenty of holes being played within the same space. Definitely won't be back. The staff member on reception was nice enough ,if not looking a bit bored with the whole thing himself!

After reading your review we were a bit upset with your experience review, we have tried hard to not only give Melbourne something unique and different but Australia too, and as this isnt available anywhere else we are still learning, over the last 2 years we have made quite a lot of changes and your notes of more plants/props have been heard and we will be looking at improving the facility. Not sure how the venue is repetitive after all we have unique holes, like through a dunny, into the back of a Ute and through Ned Kelly head who gives you a random score. We will also be reviewing our pricing as soon as the big ferris wheel is in operation, but in the meantime we still have rent to pay which isnt cheap by any means.

“Pretty darn average”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

Went in a group thinking a good night out and a little different. Nope.

The course only has 3 holes of uv light really. The other holes you can tell it's present but doesn't add anything. The holes don't light up at all like I was expecting. It's a gimmick which simply allows you to see the dandruff on other peoples jackets.

The course severely lacks from no hard boundaries. Very easy to go through the gap between driftwood on course. The "walls" aren't flat so you can't simply bounce off the walls very easily. Some holes shared greens with others. No places to stand without getting in way of group behind.

Can't see how any disabled person could navigate through this course in the "dark" as I've seen in previous responses. Not wheelchair friendly. Don't think a wheelchair could climb a ute or navigate the snake for example.

Felt like leaving after 6 holes, disappointed i didn't. Can I have my time back?

Thank you for your review, just as a point to note, 10 holes are under UV lights
(not 3 as you mentioned) others are for fire safety, if there is a fire we want people to evacuate as safe and as quickly as possible. The course is wheel chair friendly and we do actually get quite a few people in wheel chairs playing and feed back from them have been quite positive. unfortunately I am unable to give your time back but we can give you your money back for playing the golf, just send me your address and we will arrange it. Also in your email would love to hear from you of how else we could improve the place.

Good central location for mini golf in the dark! We really enjoyed it and would go back again. The course was better then we had thought
