Setto Bello is a nice Italian restaurant with a modern twist, taking traditional Italian but with more contemporary flavours. My partner ordered a salad with grilled lamb and I had a balmain bug & prawn in a seafood bisque risotto. Both dishes were falvoursome and we enjoyed them immensely. The coffees were made well, with no lingering bitterness.
Service? Extremely good. I was called by my name (per my booking) throughout our visit. Another waiter gave us an outstanding summary of the specials, showing great knowledge of the dishes. My lemon, lime & bitters came without the seemingly ubiquitous straw. As a man, I appreciated the detail.
Another positive was a rarity of each table having small salt & pepper grinders. Hallelujah! None of that pretentious twirling of the oversized pepper mill, never to be seen of again. Other restaurants - take note!!
Ambience. The restaurant was modern, silver based and quite stylish. The tables were sufficiently apart to allow us to talk comfortably and the accoustices limited background noise.
Just one littlle criticism - as the restaurant has glass buildings to the left, right and rear, there is a degree of sun glare at lunchtime, reflected from each of the buildings. We ended up moving our chairs 2 or 3 times to limit the glare.
This restaurant is worth a visit - versatile for all types of lunches or dinners. And the waiters are very professional.
