“Excellent Service, great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

Stayed here over the weekend when visiting to see Regina Spektor at the Plenary concert hall. Great location on the Yarra River great view down towards the city. Quiet busy too! The rooms where clean, well presented, comfortable bed. Nice bath products and bathroom too. The room was lovely and quiet. Once the curtains were drawn it was like a cave. The staff at Reception were really friendly and engaged with visitors in a professional relaxed manner. The buffet breakfast was one of the best ranges I have seen and the courteous and attentive staff made sure we were happy. I normally book an apartment at Dockland (boring, horrible vibe) or the Langham (which is looking tired) but this one beat them all. I would highly recommend a stay in this hotel. Its only a quick stroll along the river to Southbank but is perfect if you are either shopping at DFO outlet, visiting the convention centre or seeing a live performance at the Plenary. The only downside was that it was hard to find our way in off Montague street. We had to circle two times to get into the correct lane.

Room Tip: Corner Suite with a river view to the city a must

Just spent an evening at the Hilton in the Relaxation suite. It was just amazing. We had the best views of Melbourne, both during the day and the evening. the venue is right next to the DFO and the Convention center and a short stroll to the Casino.

It is worth upgrading to have access to the Executive Lounge as they had really nice nibblies and drinks.

Room Tip: Upgrade to include access to the Executive Lounge - worth it as breakfast is included, as are drinks...

Stayed at this hotel in King Hilton Guest Room No 1907 on the 19th Floor. Amazing views of Port Phillip bay,Westgate Bridge,Bolte Bridge and the soon to be finished Ferris Wheel.
Please note for this hotel check in time is 3pm and not 2pm.
You could see a Cruise ship and the Tasmanian Ferry from our room. And in the evening it was a wonderful site to look out at Melbourne and all the lights..
The full glass window has an electronic blind that works with the touch of a button as well as drapes.
The room had a microwave, dish washer, sink and cutlery and dishes for two people.
A seperate shower as well as a large bath.
There is lots of timber used in this building and most walls are timber starting with reception and rooms and passage ways. The rooms are very contemporary.
The foyer is giagantic when we were there there was a BMW Racing car in the foyer it was parked there for some promotion.
The buffet breakfast was very good lots of selections and they also cooked whatever you liked to order. The breakfast room is good as it has 7 metre high ceilings and wood features very much.
We stayed there because we were going to the Opera at the Art's centre. You can walk along the boardwalk right along the water but this is a brisk 20 minute walk. We got a taxi after the show and it was $8 so I think a taxi is the go.
In the morning we got a taxi to Southern Cross station and it was $7.80.
You use your room card to start the lift so this is a good security feature.
It was a whole new world for us in this location years ago it was just broken down old sheds etc but now a very excellent part of Melbourne.

Room Tip: Go for the higher floors for amazing day and night views

I must say, it was a little hard to find, as we had to walk from the city. Airport transport would not drop us there, as we arrived during the afternoon peak hour and, due to roadworks, it was too difficult for them to get their bus in & out in a reasonable time. Not happy with Skybus.

Hotel was very clean and new. Service was great. Rooms were fantastic. Bed very comfortable. Had book room with bay views, but got a room with city views. Fantastic. Looking straight up Yarra River towards casino & city. Great view of flames shooting up out front of casino.

Only negative is it is right on the outskirt of the CDB. 10 minute walk to Southbank and majority of restaurants. Still a developing area.

Would stay here again.

We stayed here as we were attending a meeting in the MCEC. It was very convenient for getting to early morning appointments on time! Also, plenty of good deals to be found at the DFO next door. However, the local restaurants were overpriced, so we were at a disadvantage later when we had to walk longer to get to our preferred restaurants in the city.

Danish design - black lobby, black halls, opens to memorable room with ultra modern bath. Stayed on Hilton points. Parking $20 each time out across the street. Slept there, toured Phillip Island - Penguin Parade is wonderful Manageable driving distance, as anywhere close to Phillip Island was booked for Motorcross. Next to convention center. Next day drove Gt Ocean Road - Wow

First time at a Hilton Hotel in Australia and this one is impressive. Located in South Warf just next to the Convention Centre it is an ideal location to Melbourne city.

The Breakfast was amazing, miles ahead of anything I have every had anywhere!

Check in and out was great

This is not a cheap hotel, so you expect this high level of service

Next to DFO

I would stay here again
