“Great staff in a nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We stayed as a family for 4 nights in 2 standard rooms.
On arrival check in was fast and friendly and the two female managers on duty at different times of the day were a absolute joy to deal with and are a credit to themselves and the Central Sky Appartments.
We had 2 minor maintenance issues 1 being the toilet was running and the other in the second room with the bathroom door not catching on the lach which were fixed quickly with no fuss.
We enjoyed our stay and found the appartments had all our needs within walking distance.
Public transport is everywhere around you and the Vic markets are across the road.
The one major let down is that there is no free wifi in your rooms which is unusual for a modern hotel. All in all a good place to stay .

“Great location - excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

We stayed over Christmas and found the hotel to be in an excellent location with Victoria Markets across the corner. There was a 24/7 MacDonald's on the other corner and many small restaurants close by, particulary Asian food. The trams were close by too. My first impression was that we had made a mistake booking here; the reception area was not terribly impressive and the hallways leading to our room looked dark; whoever decided to paint the ceilings dark grey with dark grey carpets made a mistake. However when we opened the door to our room, we were very pleasantly surprised. Whilst the room was not large, it was big enough and had an efficiently designed kitchenette. The bathroom was small but had everything we needed. The water pressure was amazing!!! The car parking was convenient. Over Christmas, the dining room was closed, so we did not get a chance to eat there, however we were given vouchers to a nearby restaurant for a lovely, filling breakfast. All in all we would definitely stay at Central Sky Lounge again. The staff were efficient and helpful and the manager make the booking easy.

“Victoria Market over the road”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Staff extremely helpful, amenities very good. Great location. Value for money. Trams to Carlton , South Melbourne a short walk. I would recommend it for a busy visitor or business visit.
My room had a great view of city skyline.

“Convenient and easy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2012

Stayed in a studio overnight on a business trip. Small but comfortable room, everything you needed was provided except TV was a small wall mounted set with virtually no reception for free to air channels and only 5 Fox channels so don't pick this hotel if that is important to you.

Apart from that, all good - breakfast was more akin to that in a boutique hotel and very good, staff very polite and welcoming, good value for those who want proximity to city and Vic markets.

“We will choose this hotel again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

We're in the middle of our 12-day stay in Melbourne. This is one accommodation where the various official photos posted above accurately reflect the room. Location is superb (the deli halls of Queen Vic market are just across the road, trams run on both sides of the block, and Central Melb train station is just 3 mins away) and the receptionist Shannon is always a blast to be around! The only blip was the bad attitude of the receptionist Dae: I asked for directions to Sth Melb Market, and was advised to take the tram to St Kilda, when I checked if she got the destination correct, she became quite supercilious. All in all, we're very happy to have chosen this hotel. Please note that wifi is chargeable, except at breakfast.
