“Causeway 355”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Rooms excellent, quiet, and clean.
Parking annoying and breakfast very basic but when in Melbourne who cares with numerous coffee places on the Doorstep !
I would highly recommend as great value. For those who enjoy a room that can be made very dark for a sleep in this one is great compared to others in the CBD.

Stayed here on the recent Lions tour, wouldn't hesitate to stay again!! Excellent location, everything was within comfortable walking distance. Rooms were clean and tidy, serviced daily. Bed was really comfortable. Was surprised at how quiet it was considering we were right in the middle of the city. Didn't even hear other hotel guests. Breakfast was really good, great selection and a great way to start the day. The lads thought it may have been better if there was the option of purchasing hot food, but there are a heap of cafes really close by if that's more your thing. Staff were more than helpful the odd time we needed to ask them for anything. Would recommend to anyone :)

The location for this hotel is excellent and the room is satisfactory, but it was a surprise to come back to the room and find it not serviced. Tonight I made the bed and the towels are still on the floor so I'll need to ask for clean ones tomorrow. Pretty disappointing!

What a great location. Very quiet, clean and good value for money. Continental breakfast was included in our package and was all we needed to start the day. The bed was very comfortable, bathroom clean and serviced each day. We found the rooms a little warm and the air conditioning was centrally controlled so couldn't adjust. 20.5 most of the time. Very handy to trams in both directions and the free city circle tram. We went to a game at Etihad stadium and found this hotel to be within walking distance. also handy to Flinders and Southern Cross train stations.
We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Include continental breakfast in your package - well worthwhile.

Booked via HotelClub everything was paid for up front. Hotel is in the CBD and is superbly serviced by loads of coffee / snack bars. Room was clean and had a microwave also to make some snacks. WiFi is expensive so go sit in the reception and enjoy FREE WiFi from other local sites. Rooms are in need of some modernisation but adequate for the price and location.

Terrific location close to everything. Rooms were in need of an update but had everything required. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was clean with fresh towels and toiletries provided daily and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was in the basement and you just went down and helped yourself. Fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast and croissants. A selection of fruit juices and tea & coffee, as much as you could eat/ drink. Would stay here again

Great location and good value for money. We bought a couple of months in advance which made it cheaper. Situated in Little Collins Street, only a few hundred metres from Elizabeth Street, meant we were very close to shops and good food. A tiny pizza restaurant, recently rated one of the best in the CBD, was right next door and great breakfast and lunch cafés were in the same lane. We didn't bother with the continental breakfast included in our hotel price because it looked fairly ordinary compared with what was nearby. Room was on the small side but quite adequate with comfortable bedding. The only catch was the air-conditioning being centrally controlled. Set at 20.5 most of the time it was a little on the warm side. Would definitely stay here again.
