“A lovely Surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2009

For Valentines we decided to go for a hotel valentine’s package and chose the package at the Seasons Heritage featured on their website. The package involved dinner for two, accommodation in a 1 bedroom deluxe apartment and breakfast. From the website the Seasons Heritage looked like a renovated heritage building but it turned out it was revealed to be so much more!!!
On arrival we were greeted at reception. My first impression was how nice the interior is, very clean and bright, beautiful chandelier and furnishings. To our surprise valet parking was included in our stay. Another surprise was that the accommodation is not in the heritage building but in the apartment building that is behind. Our apartment was on the 11th floor. A lovely bright corridor lead to the elevators.

The deluxe apartment has modern interior, kitchen area with tea/coffee facilities, mini bar, a hidden dishwasher and fridge and even a small electric cook top. The bedroom had a great view and the bed was so comfortable, very clean and soft duvet with mirrored wardrobe and a security safe. The lounge opened out onto a balcony and the view overlooking Albert pack was beautiful, could even sit on the couch and still see the view. Lounge also had a digital TV and a small table and chairs. The bathroom was larger than expected, included a washing machine and dryer, large shower and vanity and lots of freebies!!!

We started our weekend by going to the Belgium beer café across the road to have a fancy lunch and beer, back to the hotel for a nana nap and then downstairs for dinner at the hotels restaurant. The restaurant was small but lovely. The dinner in our package was a two course dinner and we could choose two out of the three courses (it was confusing for the table next to us to comprehend and they were a pain in the butt when ordering which was distracting whilst having our meal) We chose a main each, steak and the garlic butter blue eye both were delicious. Desert was a huge slice of chocolate cake it was so yummy I had to eat it all. The staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our night at the Seasons Heritage, very relaxing and it was still nice to be near the city. Breakfast was fantastic!! It was a buffet breakfast, hot food, cereals, fruit yogurt, and varieties of bread, mini croissants and danishes, juices, tea and coffee. The breakfast staff were great!!! Very friendly and attentive staff. I saw a review that the street noise was an issue but we did not find that a problem at all, the hotel is right in the city so you would expect some level of noise but it wasn’t enough to keep us awake (I slept like a log and found the bedroom to be rather quiet). Maybe if the apartment was in the ground floor it may be an issue. I definitely recommend the deluxe room we had.

The studio room is the smallest room I've ever been in. The bed is a double bed there's just enough to put your foot down on either side of the bed. Bathroom and kitchen are modern. New hotel, stayed at 12th floor was really nice.
Comfy place, wasn't in the room a lot cuz spend most time roaming melbourne. so it was fine. kitchen was equipped with fancy microwave.
Will stay there again this dec.

I really liked this place. The rooms were not that expensive, yet were decorated in a slick, modern way, similar to Ikea. The room was very small; probably one of the smallest I've ever encountered. The studio size room is really only suitable for one person. There was a small flat screen TV with limited channels. Fridge, iron, microwave, all handy items to have. Bathroom has high quality fixtures. There are many amenities in the bathroom, plus free slippers. There's a gym and cardio equipment on the ground floor. Everything here is brand new, so it's all clean and in working order. One slight negative is the location. It's about a 10-15 minute ride on the tram from the city center, and the trams stop a little after midnight. My room was very quiet, and I would rather be a bit outside of all the activity to get a good night's sleep. The tram stops right in front of the hotel. There are very few retails outlets or restaurants nearby. The hotel does have a dining room on the premises, and they at least serve breakfast there. All the employees I came in contact with were very nice. I would definitely stay there again.
