it was fun. view was amazing. something is lacking... the pilot, dean, wasn't the chirpiest guide I've met during my stay in melbourne. more interaction, chit chat to liven up the group would be nice. although that might be too much to ask considering the pilot, dean, improvement on withholding his negative remarks that I've read from earlier reviews. coincidentally, the asians and caucasians were nicely and evenly split into each half of the balloon basket. were we shepherd into it or was it human inclination?
our driver (cbd to yarra valley and back), simon, who is also a pilot turned out to be a chattable chap!
breakfast at richford was pathetic. bread was cold and hard. 1min toast over the pan would suffice. make some effort.....
you guys should consider offering coffee/tea at richford while we filled up indemnity forms! 5+am in the cold morning and that warm drink would be nice. it's not hard to do and very low cost.

Thank you for your feedback although I am sad to hear about some of your experiences.

Dean is a pilot who has come over from New Zealand and has been very successful at flying and I am sorry to hear that you didn't receive much interaction with him. Our pilots take every opportunity to explain things like where we are travelling, what heights we are reaching, what the weather conditions are etc to try to educate passengers and keep them informed during the flight. Apologies that this wasn't the case with you, usually passengers have alot of questions which our pilots are always happy to answer.
We do offer tea and coffee at Rochford when you first arrive and sit down to fill out the forms, so again I am not sure why this was the case with you, unless maybe you arrived late and we were about to leave to go to the launch field.
I have passed on your comments about the breakfast as well to ensure this doesn't occur again. My suggestion to others if this happens to you is please let the staff know if your food is slightly cold or not to your liking so that they can change it for you then and there.
