Wonderful spacious rooms - bathroom is huge with great shower and bath; fantastic walk in closet, huge bedroom with plenty of room for a desk and sofa. Beautifully lit and decorated. Loved the luxury of staying here - albeit prices reflect this. Wifi isn't available in the room which seems rather a shame - especially with so many business travellers - we had to go to the ground floor to use it. Breakfast is a real treat with an assortment of delicacies to suit all tastes. Staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. Definitely recommend this wonderful place if you can afford it.

The RACV Club has just opened their 8th floor for guests-the Retreat. The rooms there are very nicely furnished with modern, proto-chinese colours, eg red lacquer on parts of the wall and leather-covered doors. There is a butler service, drinks and nibbles service and a continental breakfast AND free vatel p[arking, a AUD 40 value, included. The price difference to an ordinary room is very meager, AUD 70 and WELL worth the investment. Especially if You stay for more than 1 or 2 days. Staff is very willing to please, there is a swimming pool, gym, it is centrally located in the CBD and You get a lovely breakfast downstairs that is cooked. Faultless and highly recommended.

Room was large, bathroom awesome, L'Occitane toiletaries, breakfast good.

Strange how bed was cheap and lumpy with polyester blanket and ugly bedspread. Espresso coffee was horrible, Wifi not working.

One visit to this place was enough for me to go home and rave to my wife about it and to insist that we become members. Nothing over the past couple of years has changed that impression. Great location in that it is an easy walk from the train station if we come down from the country; easy walk to the CBD of Melbourne and to SouthBank; easy to get to from the freeway if we decide to drive to Melbourne.
What really impresses me is their attention to detail. Staff training is faultless. The rooms are huge with unbelievable facilities: everything screams: CLASSY. As for facilities available to the members, they leave you wanting for nothing. Make sure you don't overlook their patisserie outside around the back of the club in the little laneway: Le Petit Gateau .... especially if you have a sweet tooth as they make their own chocolate delights there.
By the way, the rooms can be so dark and quiet at night that we have often overslept in the morning.
There is no way you can avail yourself of all the facilities in just one visit.
