“Very nice food... expensive though.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

This is a nice Chinese meal, certainly, but it's not at all cheap. The atmosphere was very nice, big tables covered with nice table clothes, nice decorations. We can't complain about the food, we didn't dislike any of our meals, and our spiced blue eye trevalla was delicious, the deserts we thought were merely ok. Just not quite enough for the price to get 5* in our opinion..

“Beautiful, but expensive, OK food, and slow service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

This was recommended, but the food was rather bland, very expensive ($50 per person), served very slowly, and they really pushed us to order more drinks. I would choose a less pretentious place.

“Nice decor, average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

The restaurant name is actually Me Wah (one "e). It is beautiful, with polite, but slow service. The food was just OK, and it was very expensive ($50 per person).

“Chinese with a difference”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

This is not you average Chinese restaurant. But if you love Chinese food you are sure to love Me Wah. The service was like nothing else, we were never short of a drink and the timing between the food was just perfect. The staff were the most polite and well scripted that I have ever come across. My fiance and I ordered two entrees with the intention of sharing and to our delight the chef had split the entrees into our own individual plates so we had a beautifully plated dish each with some pork belly and dumplings, felt very personalised and just that bit special. Our mains were a similar story as we ordered two they came out separately so we got to enjoy one and then the other. The mains were dished up in front of us, and I did notice that the waiter made my meals ever so slightly smaller than my fiances, which I found so appropriate and really appreciated it, especially considering the subtlety of it. I'm not going to deny that it was expensive, but it was great! Thoroughly impressed.

“Sunday Sensation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Took family of 6 adults and 2 children to Yum Cha on Sunday morning. One adult wasn't sure about Chinese food. That person ended up praising the food as the best yum cha they had ever eaten.
The courses were quite creative, very flavoursome, beautifully prepared and cooked. Faultless in
every way. Would highly recommend to everyone. Have had evening meals there before and
they are also wonderful.
