“Cutest cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

This is the cutest cafe in every aspect - the decor, the staff, the food, the teapots and the building.
I've been here 3 times now and have eaten twice. Both meals have been freshly made with local produce and quality bread. Nice flavours and well priced. I don't drink tea but all comments have been positive and they have an extensive list to choose from. The hot chocolate though is delicious. The two main staff/owners are really friendly and attentive, while the setting is comfortable and warm. Nice outside sitting area.
Would definitely recommend.

“An interesting spin on eggs, but didn't quite hit the mark.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

We had a good breakfast at Pollen Tea Room, consisting of the Baked Green Eggs and the Regular Baked Eggs.

While the flavours were generally good, both dishes were let down by a couple of small details; a little bit too much acidity in the regular baked eggs, while the green baked eggs were a touch too oily for our liking.

That being said, both dishes were still very tasty and were very welcome on a cold Hobart morning!

The ambience of Pollen Tea Room is great, with the small room full of great hand made timber furniture and other bits and pieces. Seating is limited and quite tight, but this also adds to the friendly buzz of the place.

Thoroughly recommended, just not the best we've had in Hobart.

Cheers!
Andrew.

“From the heart”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Charming surroundings, lovely food, and inventive, delicious drinks. The real stand out though is the warm welcome from owners Matt and Shae - this place feels like home.

“The best !!!!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

Having a week holiday in Hobart with wife. Tried many cafes.
This place was a memorable part of our trip.
Coffee was incredible. The barista very talented and most importantly made with passion. Hard to find this. I am very critical, having been passionate and involved with coffee for over 20 years
Food / tea also a level above your highest expectations.
Extensive tea knowledge/ selection.
Very cool and relaxed friendly vibe.
Cannot recommend enough.

“Great little spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Fantastic little tea house in Battery Point featuring a crazily extensive tea list as well as more traditional caffeinated beverages. The food list is compact but has some great fresh options. Well worth a visit.
