“great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Beautiful hotel. Dined in the restaurant and the food is absolutely delicious. Pricey but to be expected in a nice environment. We had the snapper, pork and deserts and full compliments to the chef for being creative and innovative in using the fresh produces in their cooking. A meal I can't russle up at home so worth paying for. Highly recommended 5 star cuisines. This restaurant is for those who likes quality of taste only and not quantity.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Stayed here 5 nights early March. Good location and the spacious room was very clean and modern. We had problems with air conditioning - despite saying it was 18 degrees, the room was stifling and staff agreed. Maintenance looked at the unit but they said it was working. It was necessary to get a portable a/c unit in as the installed one made NO difference. We recieved a bottle of Tasmanian wine due to the discomfort. We also had a night with very little sleep due to an extractor fan being left in a downstairs cafe. We wore earplugs that night but two nights later when it happened again, we spoke to the night manager - he moved us to another room to sleep for the night and we were given complementary breakfasts on our last day. We felt staff went the extra mile to satisfy (except the blonde in the breakfast restaurant - it was not service with a smile at all. It costs quite a bit to stay here, so it is important to make sure comfort is a priority - they did that.

Room Tip: Avoid Rm 214 if you want a quiet restful sleep - unless the hotel makes sure the cafe staff turn off...

Stayed for two nights over weekend beginning of March, proir to heading off on a touring holiday.
Quality Hotel with the boutique feel, quirky decor and high finish to rooms. Very clean and friendly. Good relaxing Long bar and courtyard casual dining. Great location within easy walking distance to ferry, town and Salamanca. Highly recomended.

Room Tip: try for a harbour view

Unique and excellent. Comfortable and fun. Stones throw to harbor; several options to walk to for dinner and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was great. The bar is small but charming and lively. Loved the art. Also check out the Art Mob a couple of doors down for fantastic indigeneous Australian art.

Stayed here over the long weekend in June 2012. Couldn't fault the service of the staff, they were exemplary in their local knowledge and were very helpful.
The room was lovely, the beautiful exposed wooden beams and brickwork provided a nice cosy feel. The only small problem was that the bathroom door didn't shut properly. The restaurant downstairs does a great cooked breakfast, the eggs benedict for delicious.
Good location, with restaurants close by and Salamanca a short walk away.

The hotel is a converted jam factory, with much of the timber structure exposed and made a feature of.
Its all very nice and very atmospheric. Perhaps "Hip" hotel may describe it better.
Great lighting and interesting artwork throughout the public areas.
The rooms are a good size with a modern glass box bathroom.
The hotel is well located on the water and a short walk to everything ... Including the ferry to take you to Mona .
It's not a budget hotel but worth the cost I think.
Check- in was swift and the staff helpful .
