My husband and I were upgraded to an Oriental Suite on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The room was especially spacious with a large SOK overflowing spa...which we didn't get to try btw. The reception greeting and bellboys, restaurant staff was exceptional. The room however is in need of some maintenance. Spa bath had cracks, chips and staining. Shower had mould and rust, even the sink plug was mouldy...not good enough in my estimation for a top of the range hotel. With only Venetian blinds as window treatments it was difficult to get off to sleep as too much light was coming through the windows- this was during the Wooden Boat Festival- these blinds also need repairing and the windows need a clean.
Apart from maintenance the hotel is worthy of another chance.
