My partner and I stayed for several days in the Gardener's cottage and we were thrilled. We travel frequently and rarely have we stayed in a place we liked better than this lovely, peaceful cottage. Full of charm, character and clean as a whistle, you couldnt' ask for a better place to stay. The gardens are delightful, the hosts friendly and helpful. Perfection.

For the last three days or a 10 day holiday, we enjoyed the spacious, comfortable, rustic charm of the ‘Servants Quarters’ at Corinda’s Cottages. Everything was spotlessly clean with electric heating and a cheery wood stove. Every part of the accommodation was elegantly decorated in 18th century European cottage style yet all the mod cons were there just cleverly hidden out of sight. The fully equipped kitchen and generous daily breakfast provisions including eggs, breads, fruits and yogurts ensured extra snacks could be easily catered for. Lovely big bath to soak in and the best bed of the entire holiday. Set in well designed plantsmans garden and entered via a wonderful cobble stone courtyard this was a highlight of our holiday. The Glebe neighbourhood is conveniently located almost adjacent to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and about a ten minute walk to the Hobart harbour. Our hosts were welcoming and always happy to share the story of this historic property and their fabulous restoration. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Hobart and have a great cottage stay in a convenient location.

We stayed for 3 nights in October as part of a week-long Tasmanian holiday. We booked the Gardener's Cottage and couldn't have done better- it is lovely. There is a lounge area, dining, kitchen and bathroom downstairs (great shower & spa bath) and spacious bedroom upstairs. Not recommended for the disabled or those lacking mobility as the stairs are very steep, but if you are after comfort and seclusion, this is a great choice. We walked to town several times (about 10 minutes- steep hills!) and used the log fire each night as it was a bit cool. The hosts live on-site in the beautiful main house but left us to our own devices. There is a phone you can use for free local calls and they said to call them if we needed anything, but we didn't as everything was supplied for us, including breakfast provisions replenished daily. A tranquil garden completes the picture. We would stay here again as we enjoyed every moment and did not want to leave.

Corinda's Cottages: wow, were we impressed! Warmly welcomed in to the warm quarters (which really made a difference in the cold of a Hobart May!) we immediately put off our plans for a walk around Hobart to explore the large and beautifully appointed rooms.

Considering the proximity to all the attractions in Hobart and it's surrounds (walking distance to everything), the generous breakfast provisions and luxuriousness of the rooms, PLUS free parking, Corinda's is incredible value. In addition the daily room service is unobtrusive with an attention to detail I have not come across in my travels for a long while. As well as this the accommodation is incredibly quiet.

I can only think of one criticism - and it's truly minor! - the bathroom is downstairs, whilst the bedroom is upstairs: a middle of the night trip can be a little creepy. Having said that, there appeared to be other cottages on the property which were on one level (we stayed in the Servant's quarters).

We can not recommend this guest house enough. Treat yourself at Corinda's, and you'll feel like you walked away with a bargain.

We stayed in the Gardener's Cottage at Corinda's Cottages for three nights at the end of April.

The Cottage is perfectly appointed with all the bells and whistles you could want. Just as importantly, it's charmingly decorated, well positioned and incredibly clean! The decor is ecclectic with an antique feel, but it avoids being twee and doesn't sacrifice function at all.

Hobart turned on a cold spell while we were there and it was all we could do to drag ourselves outside instead of sleep the days away in the very comfortable bed, or reading in front of the wood-burning fire.

I was concerned the cabin might be draughty, but as it is a new construction made out of lovely reclaimed materials, it is tight as a drum and the heating was more than adequate. The bathroom has everything, including a little heater, and a shower-head that made a couple of water-restricted Sydney-siders feel a bit guilty. The bath is large and has spa outlets. People with mobility issues may have trouble getting in and out of the bath/shower easily. A washing machine and dryer is available and there is a good sized tv (terrestrial channels) and DVD in the small but perfectly formed lounge room. The kitchenette has a microwave and hotplates and the tarrif includes breakfast supplies and local phone calls. This Cottage has it's own private courtyard out the back, and a sweet verandah at the front looking out into the gardens. Off-street parking is available.

The cottage itself is tucked away in a corner of the beautiful garden and although it is close to the street, there is little street noise. Situated in Glebe, up the hill from the Harbour, Corinda's Cottages are a few minutes drive away from the centre of Hobart and probably not much more than that walking, although the hill might be a bit tough on the way back.

The Gardener's Cottage is probably not suitable for more than a couple of people, and the stairs up to the bedroom are a bit steep and slippery if you have any mobility issues.

Corinda's Cottages are at the premium end of the Hobart accommodation market but if you want privacy, a beautiful setting and accommodation with a bit more charm than a hotel, you'll love it.

My wife and I stayed three nights in the Gardener's Cottage located in the Coriinda's Cottage on Glebe Street. It is a remarkably quaint one bedroom cottage with modern kitchen, spa bath, washer and dryer. The cottage is a new structure using old timbers and other Tasmanian woods, so that it blends in with the lush gardens on the property. The cottage is extremely private and the street is quiet. The Glebe neighborhood is located almost adjacent to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and about a ten minute walk to the Hobart harbor. The owner, Matthew Ryan, introduced us to the cottage and was helpful during our stay. I would recommend Corinda's Cottage to any adult single or couple.

This is one place that will stay forever in the mind our my wife and I. The palce has got so many amazing features that i literally do not know where to start from. The garden is beautiful and the hosts are hospitable.

The most amazing part is that the cottage is so well supplied with utensils and cooking accessories that it beats any home kitchen hands down. They make sure that the milk and eggs are supplied daily and that the condiments never run out. The decoratives in the cottage is so detailed and appropriate that it transform the place into a 18th century European cottage. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Tasmania. Have a great cottage stay!
