The restaurant has the food set up on a hawker style cart with various dishes that you can select from -us $4 a serve. The serves are not that big. Liked the chicken and peanut sauce and spiced eggplant. Beef rendang was very bland, but prob difficult to cater for everyones taste in 'hotness'. Duck small and chewy. Deep fried tofu average.
We came early (6 pm) but main issue is that the food is not cooked fresh to order, because it does not have the actual high turnover of a successful street stall in Asia, and is kept warm in standard dishes under lights, the food was overall not that great or warm.
Service was variable. Pleasant staff, but lengthy delays to get deep fried bananas (which were made to order). Simple, clean small wooden tables.
Not sure I would return. The meal was about $20-30 each, which n view of the food and overall experience seemed quite a bit. At this stage there are other better casual Asian food options in Hobart.
