“Quality accommodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

Good quality as expected for the price. Very helpful staff. New style, clean rooms. Great location with Salamanca Place restaurants, supermarket and Saturday markets around the corner. Fun in the pool with kids. Easy parking, most undercover. Only neg was the fee if you request a Highchair in the room.

Family of 3 stayed for 2 nights, on arrival in Hobart. 2- bed apt reasonably spacious and comfortable. Upstairs queen bed is great. Bathroom very modern and clean. Open window upstairs, and sliding door downstairs, always good for the fresh air of Tassie. Very close to Salamanca Place, with restaurants, Bar, night-life (although this ends early around 9pm). Walk to Docks and more eateries. Parking on-site. Glimpse of Derwent River. Immediate view of car park. Our cooked breakfast was not great. (Too oily for our taste). Ate out other meals. Staff all very helpful and really pleasant and cheerful. Expensive, but worth the comfort for all of us. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Tassie hotels seem to be very pricey for a small State. Expect to pay top $ if you like your comfort...

I stayed here with my family in one of the 2 bedroom suites. The kids loved having a 2 storey suite and even the over chlorinated indoor pool. I wasn't impressed but it was fine for a short one night stay while in transit. Fantastic location and a handy free central car park. We didn't eat in house (menu didn't appeal) but opted to eat at the plethora of good restaurants around the corner on Salamanca

Stayed for a week. Great location, all staff encountered were lovely and very helpful, the rooms were comfortable( beds, pillows, shower, sofa all good)and clean, with all that you needed. ( Dishwasher WITH powder). Laundry handy with effective dryers and detergent supplied. My 7yr old loved the indoor pool for a break from sightseeing. OK, the view isn't great but everything else makes up for it. Highly recommended.

I have stayed here several times, the latest time in December 2012. The location is excellent – close to the law courts and CBD (for business) and to the main tourist areas. My room this time (as with the other times) was very spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and clean. The staff were, again as usual, very nice and helpful. The price was reasonable and overall the value was very good.

Clean, Friendly, Professional, Enjoyable - Excellent!

The staff were great, rooms modern and very clean - renovated bathrooms, quality furniture, great room service and not overpriced even during the peak season.

Highly recommended for service and quality.

Good beds, not too noisy.

We stayed at the Salamanca Inn for a few days, while visiting southern Tasmania. The room was very large, included a full kitchen and comfortable seating area. There was onsite parking, but the car wasn't needed, as it was easy to walk to much of downtown Hobart from the locatins. The hotel is one block from the Salamanca market, waterfront, etc. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They spent a great deal of time addressing an internet connection issue. And they recommended an excellent hotel for our visit to Freycinet National Park. Would love to return to Tassie, again, and would select this same venue.
