“What a fantastic experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

We almost didn't go on this tour - but what a huge mistake this would have been! This is an exhilarating, extremely interesting and highly efficiently run experience. From the time we met our bus driver guide Lee we were impressed by his genuine friendliness, easy humour and immense knowledge. We drove through the beautiful Tassie countryside, arriving at our boat's departure point just in time for freshly baked muffins and coffee. And then for the excitement! Powerful boats - sometimes zooming through narrow gaps between huge rock columns, other times hugging up close to the rugged cliffs while immense swells rise up around us, and other times effortlessly handling the swells - take us to almost the most southern point of Australia. We got up close to seals and dolphins, and saw albatross and many other sea birds. Overall this should not be missed and is worth every cent.

“Pennicott Bruny island adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

I absolutely loved this adventure. It cost about 185 dollars per person and worth every cent. We left Hobart on a tour bus to Kettering, the guides were very informative and entertaining. Then took the bus via car ferry to bruny island where we had morning tea and were loaned beanies and gloves. We then walked a short distance to the jetty, were given rain coats and sea sick tablets. Off we went on the yellow boat heading to the southern ocean. We saw a mother and baby whale playing, We were surrounded by hundreds of dolphins, zoomed alongside and between sea cliffs, stopped to appreciate the water spray from a breathing cave before hitting the open ocean (on the way to see a few different seal colonies. Then we repeated the boat ride back to bruny island where a lovely lunch was provided. Back on the bus via Kettering to Hobart the chatter died down and most people dozed. The adventure was about 8 hrs including 3 hrs on the boat, morning tea and lunch. The boat ride can be taken from bruny island but If leaving from hobart the bus trip was a enjoyable part of the experience. I would do this adventure again and again.

“Awesome!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

The 3 hours adventure cruise was just great. The crews were super friendly and helpful, they also gave us some ginger tablets at the beginning of the trip- I am glad we took them as it was quite choppy at times (but some much fun!!). We were lucky with the weather as it was a beautiful day, I am not sure if we would have had as much fun on a rainy day.
Great sights, we also saw some dolphins and seals. A must do if you are on Brunny Island.

We picked the perfect day, blue Skye's and calm seas. The whole team was great - friendly, caring, helpful, funny. We had a wonderful smooth ride, bit of speed In between the sights of the island.

A big thanks to all the staff for creating such a beautiful experience !

“dont wear earings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

At the end they worn you that as you remove the protective clothing you may get an earning caught in the jacket == this should have been given when you first went to put it on , as at the end of the trip I had lost 1 gold ear ring.
ALSO
DONT GO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SEASICKNESS . They do give you tablets for everyone , but if worried do a different trip.

Other than these 2 little items the trip is FANTASTIC.
