“Good food, terrible service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2014 via mobile

Had lunch today. There were only two tables being used. One outside when we turned up and sat outside. We waited for attention. Nothing. I went inside and asked was there table service. The waiter said yes and then followed me out. One of us ordered a sub lunch special. He came back later and said the bread had not arrived. It was 1 pm. He did not know the details of the specials. Meals and drinks arrived ok. After our meal we waited and would have ordered coffees. But no attention. We paid the bill and gave feedback to our inattentive, some would say slack, waiter.

“CIUCCIO”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2014

We had lunch on the Sunday we arrived in the city. One of our group is gluten free. Lunch menu offers salad or potato chips for GF clients. The evening menu has limited gluten free options and the staff are not sympathetic to variations in the menu. A take away almond biscuit dusted in icing sugar was inedible. Stella

“Good Italian style food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2014

The food was really good and the service was as well. Plenty of wines to choose from. The only negative thing was the noise, and there was plenty of it, given all the hard surfaces in the restaurant. If you don't have a hearing difficulty then it will be no problem.

“Simply Yummey!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

We tried this restaurant at the start of our trip in Tasmania while in Hobart. We liked it so much we went back for our last night when we returned back to Hobart. It is a lovely Italian restaurant in a square off Salamanca Place. The deserts are heaven and good choice of wines. When we arrived the first night the guy serving said that the wait may be a bit slow as his colleague had not turned up so he was on this own, but said he would be with us as soon as he could. Within a short time he had taken our orders and serve our drinks. You could not fault the service. We also tried the Salamanca Grill (restaurant in the hotel) okay but not much atmosphere and the Ball & Chain on Salamanca Place which is a pub with restaurant at the back - not bad... good for steaks if you like them.

“A typical Italian Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

Atmosphere was a little sterile, but the menu was typically Italian and the kitchen delivered excellent food. Wine choice was good too and we finished with four Tiramisu's which we all rated as among the best we had ever tried.
