As sea food lovers and being on holidays at the same time value for money is important. We were after Tasmanian seafood at an affordable price. After goggling I came across this place, we had been to Salamanca markets (which were fantastic) so we're not interested in the markets so much. The seafood we bought was unbelievable value, scallops $29.00 per kilo and Salmon was so much cheaper than other vendors. Google island markets for address and opening times. We compared prices with a waterfront vendor, scallops $42.00 per kilo, bearing in mind the extra outlays in rent etc.. Island markets is worth the 5km around about trip to stock up on fruit/vegetables, meat and fresh seafood
