“Nice Little Cafe in a Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Located in the atrium of the old IXL buildings on the Hobart docks, it's a great spot and a nice little walk from either Salamanca or the CBD.
Went as a group of three and all meals were well received - the salt and pepper squid, a pumpkin salad with plenty of chorizo and the beef burger which had a delicious tomato relish and a nice amount of chips for a lunch serve.
Service was OK, it's an order at the bar place so pretty casual but everyone was friendly enough.
Value for money was again OK - just over $60 for three lunches and three (one alcoholic) drinks.

“Great Food and Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2012

The food was delicious and especially good coffee. Setting is fantastic in the atrium which was part of the old IXL jam factory. A lot of the old factory beams, brick work and machinery are still visible.

“Breakfast options on the boring side - coffee ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

The setting is great and historical but this place is let down by a very narrow breakfast menu (we did not do lunch or snacks). Much of the breakfast menu was dominated by meat, cheese and bread (not great if you are gluten intolerant or crave greens/healthier options) with the only vege-based options both being mushroom meals. Not enough options to warrant a revisit so we went elsewhere every other morniing despite staying in the hotel above.

“Great spot for breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We were so happy with this cheerful little cafe we made it our breakfast spot for almost all our stay. Fresh local produce quickly and cheerfully delivered. Coffee was very good. Some inside seating but lovely large covered courtyard with heating in the old IXL building.

We stayed in Hobart for a few nights and had breakfast at Jam Packed. The inside courtyard is a lovely setting. The food was quick and delicious. The coffee was great.
